John. I want to hug you. Hearing your thoughts on Royal Assassin warmed the cockles of my heart. You *GET* it. ❤Hobb's ❤best writing attribute is her characters and they can only shine in situations that show us who they are. ❤Hobb ❤is incredible at giving us relationships that evolve and grow with each person, while they remain distinct from their relationships with OTHER characters. Fitz' relationship with Burrich is different to his relationship with Chade, is different to his relationship with Patience, and all of them grow believably as each event in Fitz' life broaden his mindset. As to being able to restrain yourself from leaping into Assassin's Quest, well done! I hope Blacktongue Thief is amazing for you; I think I've got my October filled in already with spooky stuff that I legit didn't plan ahead of time for the most part. As for this week, I am about 2/3 through Black Swan Green by David Mitchell. It's maybe the most difficult opening to one of his books I've read yet, since I was not (and god willing, never will be) a British teenage boy in the 1980's. But then of course the themes started happening, and I've built a trust in Mitchell over these past few weeks that continues to pay off in spades. And to read a coming of age novel in which the focal character genuinely becomes a young man who starts to think for himself, in ways I can relate to even if obliquely. No, I love this book too. Looking forward to starting October with The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet. I also finished Justice of Kings. I'm a sucker for the POV character being an older person looking back over their past exploits and mistakes while they're telling it, and this is one of the good ones. Looking forward to getting into book 2 when I can. Team Tingle all the way, with solid scientific backing this time! I'm gonna be honest, I did get a bit misty-eyed reading that paper.

Let me know how you like Black tounge thief, I've been eyeing that one for a while. 😁 This weekend I've been having the time of my life with the book fair. In short, it blew my hair back. So many lovely panels and oh sooo sooo many books. It's both a curse and a blessing that I've only got limited room for books in my bag. Good caused I won't go broke but bad cause that means less books (unacceptable) and othe bookish stuff. Also got my pick for the spooky season and I finally decided to start on my Stephen King journey. This is a bit of gamble, it can go either really good or really bad since I'm not yet sure what my opinion on horror is. Sure in fantasy I like som horror elements but will I like a full on horror novel? I'll guesd we see 😅

Can wait to see what you think of King and sooo glad you had a great book fair!

@@Talking_StoryYes me too and ah you should have been there. Sure a lot of it is in Swedish but there were english panels as well and most of the sci-fi stores books (they have more than just sci-fi such as fantasy, manga and some really lovely special edition of horror anthologies and lovecraft and more) are in english. Just an amazing good time.

Well.....Ok. Remember how I was saying that I had something helpful to bring up this Weekly Reader? It was a Peer-reviewed Analysis of the Tingle. I reached out to a few BookTubers and got confirmation from 4 (Philip Chase, Wera, Brian Bell, Andrew's Wizardly Reads) that the Tingle exsists. Guess somebody beat me to it lol. I'll go ahead and put it here anyway. "As for the Tingle, let's put it this way: If even one person feels the Tingle, then it is real for that person and must be considered 'real,' or at the very least we must acknowledge the possibility of this reality." - Dr. Philip Chase "The Tingle is REAL!!!!" - Andrew's Wizardly Reads "I love innuendos hehe so I'm gonna go Team Tingle." - Wera "Since I gave him the moniker of 'Captain Tingle', one would think that I'd say unabashedly 'yes'. However, Captain Tingle might be using his powers of suggestion to create the Tingle mentally, more so then a physical result of subscribing. So the jury is a little out on the causality of the source of the Tingle." - Brian Bell. I was going to ask if you could read this to Jakob during your next video. You could do it off camera too, but I also wanted to see his reaction lol. As for Royal Assassin, I have to ask two questions: 1. How does it compare to Book 1 in your opinion? 2. Do you have any idea when you'll be getting to Liveship? I absolutely adore RA so much! The ending of that book is a better Sanderlanche than Sando himself has written imo, and Words of Radiance is my 2nd favorite book ever. I knew you would love the book as much as I did, and that the ending blow your hair back!

@@KALtheHighstorm117 this is everything! I cannot thank you enough for this. I will absolutely be reading this to Jakob. I have to rank book 2 as my fav ahead of 1.
