My childhood hero and my favourite TV series which I can watch it over and over again without getting bored. Lovely characters, great location, awesome music. Nothing more to expect. We are sk gifted to watch these kind of movies back then.

Michael is alive and well and does mostly stage work nowadays. LOL! He is not a 'little guy' either, he is 6ft 1 and towered over me when I met him in March last year. He is such a sweetie to meet, too. He will always be my favourite Robin Hood, no one can match him in that role.

When i was youngers back in the 80's Michael for me was just like Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden ( mostly because of his hair ) . I love this serial nad i'm a huge Bruce Dickinson fan also :))

Bless him!! Michael was a big kid back then but so handsome and dashing and romantic we loved him madley. Or perhaps his ability to fool around and mock himself was part of what we loved about him. Either way he still seemed to spend more time on his backside in the mud than upright delivering his lines. Could this have been because without contact lenses or glasses he could not see further than the end of his own nose or just because it had been pouring with rain and the ground was so slippery? I still flich at the bit where Clive Mantel manages to hit Michael somewhere very painful with his quaterstaff though!! Also not seen the bit where he trips when carrying the deer before.

Michael Praed is the best robin hood ever. Jason Conery was good but not as good as Michael Praed, I wish tv shows were like the old days the 80's early 90's when it was good and not like a lot of stuff today more special effects to keep people glued. BBC ruined robin hood. The idea of MP in camero in BBC Robin Hood no way that's like a mockery him cameo in the worst robin hood series ever no. The bbc version they killed off marion.

Bet that if young children saw this series, if itv repeated it on itv1 instead of like the last time weekdays 8.10am and advertised it as the repeat of the greatest robin hood to have ever existed would drag in a lot young children and teens would be worth it. The bbc robin awful show they use the same forest in the series in their merlin series to which again is a bad idea put on screen 3 episodes of merlin and i was bored. Wish there had been more robin of sherwood episodes love it.

God ya I saw the first episode of season 1 of the bbc robin hood i laughed the minute i saw their robin hood he is just wrong for the part. One of my friends loves it so sat through i episode for her i was soooooooooooooo bored and i love robin hood but it was just atrocious . The itv robin of sherwood nothing can compare to it it is the best ever and nothing can top it. After season one of robin hood bbc the ratings were so bad they almost canned it. Wish they had.
