This show doesnt get the views it deserves. I remember my dad had turned the game off because he was so heartbroken which meant time to go to bed so everyone went to their bedrooms I continued to watch the game in my room and the Grand slam single happened and I started running through our house hootin and hollering and yelling thank you to the baseball Gods! My Dad thought i was lying and turned it back on. Such a great memory. My connection to this team is more than just a fan and his baseball team. I was born in '87 so the last time the Mets won the world series I was in the womb. I went to the last opening day game at Shea I went to the last game at Shea. I went to the first game at Citi Field. I went to playoff games I've seen the Mets play in other stadiums I named my first born after the kid his name is Carter. My daughter who's due in January her name is going to be Shea. It's the memories from childhood it's going to the games with my dad and brother and meeting my heroes like Rey Ordoñez and Robin Ventura (i have a ball with both signatures i got as a boy). It was being able to go to the right field corner at Shea and yell down to the bullpen and talk with Franco. It's telling Ricky Henderson he was the man and not to worry about the haters because he was slumping and Ricky looks at me winks and gives me the shooter McGavin finger gun. That last game while they were doing the goodbye to Shea ceremony I cried like a baby I kissed both foul pulls from Shea. I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you Robin for the memories You really made my childhood man. I will forever be true to the orange and blue.

I sure do remember Robin Ventura VERY well since 2001.
