Rarely did we ever see Robin laugh at the top of his lungs when someone else cracked a joke. Craig had him cracking up several times. That was incredible to watch and remember. I miss Robin so much.
@magnificentmuttley1542 жыл бұрын
IKR? The only comedians I know could make Robin laugh were Craig & Johnathan Winters. I didnt get to see much of him on cable TV in the 80s & 90s, so now I can only wonder what he was like (or would be like) around Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder, or John Byner. Maybe even the greats a generation older than him. For example, Telly Savalas was quick witted, but he never showed that side of himself on talk shows. Then theres Carl Reiner, Sid Caesar, & Mel Brooks. Mel Brooks & Robin Williams HAD to be a riot, if that ever happened :D

My brother met Robin Williams briefly when he was living in San Francisco. Small talk, thank you very much, etc. I met the man when he walked into a store I worked in Downtown San Diego. The biggest regret I had was being so nervous -- this was one of the most polite human beings on earth when he shopped in our store. Everything he saw, he thanked us twice for bringing to him. ...It's not every day that the King of the Moon walks in your workplace. If I had a brain, I would have mentioned that he "met two members of my family now" which seems like unusual odds. And might have said, "Rey Di Tutto! May I call you Ray?" Rest in Peace.

I met Robin Williams in 1996 and served his table with James Taylor and Carly Simon. He came down to the kitchen and cracked jokes on the expediter microphone for 20 minutes during service to give JT and Carly private time. The jokes and the people they touched were much more important than champagne & caviar to Robin, in my Chefs opinion.
