Robin Williams was a comedic legend! His versatility knew no bounds! He is sorely missed!!
@alexckelly110 жыл бұрын
Robin Williams understood the breadth and depths of what it means to be human better than most anyone. In interviews, he mentioned that he learned how to be funny as an only child with the many long, sad hours that brought. But that there, in those lonely spaces, he learned how to transform the experiences which are sad, (but truly universal) into profound, funny and brilliant thoughts… into something finer, that could be laughed by all, instead of cried about. Thank you Robin, for giving us not only the soothing balm of laughter, but also many lessons on how to live life better, with more compassion and humanity. I hope you are still out there somewhere, and that I may meet you there where you are someday. In the meantime, I will try to not cry that you are gone, but celebrate that you were here, with us. For we were truly lucky to have you here for that time. Thank you again for all the laughs Robin! So Brilliant!

He was a funny man who I once had the pleasure of serving in a restaurant in NYC. but "best humans who ever walked..." Sorry not even close.. Jesus, the only perfect human to ever live, all the pApostles except Paul, and every martyr who died for their faith, plus every innocent victim of war, or tragedy, or natural disasters would come first, Joan of Arc, Mother Theresa, Billy Graham, Ghandi (To a certain extent) ... and the list goes on. Sadly in a decade fewer and fewer will even know who he is unless they see one of his films or TV shows. If you don't believe me ask 50 Millennials who The Beatles are and see how many know!

Condescending comment about Williams; for although an acknowledged and (probably) committed Jew he was NOT a `mensch`. He was political and his opinions were antiNazi, proSemitic, proZionist but contextual given the enormity of the Holocaust.

Robin was lightning in a bottle and everytime that bottle was opened, he ignited us all with his brilliance!!! My favorite memories of Robin are watching the countless talk show hosts who were left spellbounded by his energetic charisma. The best ones knew, like Johnny Carson, to not book additional guest, sit back and allow Robin to freestyle. It was like their own private Robin show. There will never be another Robin. He was truly one of a kind and will be forever missed. Captian my Captian, may you rest in peace!!! ♥️

Don't dramatise more than what really happened. Robin was the friend of anyone, he was human in every sense of the word. He was a star loved by millions and enjoyed every single bit of being on stage and making people laugh . The suicide has nothing to do with loneliness or depression. Depression was part of it but in the rarest cases this drives one to commit suicide. In the end it most probably was the sideeffects of the drugs he took against his neurological diseases. These so called psychotropic drugs like tranquilizers alter the chemical processes of the brain and it is known that these kind of drugs are very dangerous when the dosage is not correct. These drugs can cause suicidal thoughts as well and then there is the combination effects when you take more different drugs simultaneously, one drug can reinforce the effect of another drug. I recommend you to watch Robin Williams in the show: inside the actor's studio with James Lipton. There you can learn a lot about him and he explains in great detail how he developed his talents of acting that in the end let to the genius that he was. This show is one of the best things I have seen of Robin. The audience are all beginning actors and he interacts with the young actors so greatly. If you're a fan you really must watch this. It's not on youtube anymore so you must buy it on DVD but it's worth it.

@JordanS21510 жыл бұрын
Bizazah OF COURSE NOT!! WOW, you are a pleasant thinker, aren't you??? Honey, it is FACT that when someone commits suicide (especially a celebrity) the suicide rate SKY ROCKETS!! and one of the major reasons is because people (out of love and ignorance to the disease of depression) glorify it by saying "well, he's not in pain anymore.... etc.). It was tragic, it is heartbreaking... there is nothing peaceful about it (ask his children, who may NEVER get over it because its fact that kids of suicide parents can't help but think that if their parent loved them enough they wouldn't have chosen to leave them!!). MY approach is.... what a shame such a wonderful person didn't realize how wonderful he was!!! I hope others who feel the same way he did, reach out to their families or friends, or communities!!!! Thanks for asking.

> The Late Night Show with Robin Williams Now THAT would have been a certified riot, I'd say! But well, sadly it wasn't meant to be. On the other hand, we'll always have his performances as a brilliant actor and a hilarious stand-up comedian, and I'd say that does have to account for something, so him being around and doing what he was excellent in wasn't for nothing. I guess we best remember him for what he did best: making people happy. Because that's no small feat, but something one should be proud of.

+Little jessie > GOD I'm gonna miss this man. :( That's why I think our duty is to remember his like he was: on one hand a man who decided one day that he just couldn't battle his own dragons anymore, but on the other hand some lad who was a bloody fecking genius for decades when it came to making people laugh and thus making them happy. That alone is an achievement of gigantic proportions on his side, and I'd say that's one of the things Robin Williams should be remembered for in the first place: not that he's not here anymore now (closing in on four years), but that he was there in the first place. Because that's what counts.
