NEW Record Pigeon decoying

What an absolutely cracking two days decoying I had. The first day’s camera work was cut short by a persistent afternoon drizzle. But I sure made up for it by drawing the same spot the following week.
The reason these pigeons needed reducing was the sheer impact they have on spring drilling’s. With this many on the farm the numbers simply need to be reduced.
The feral pigeons rest not just in the derelict mill close by, but also in the farm sheds and dedicate on all the farm machinery.

Depends if your looking at it from the farmers or the shooters perspective. But I most certainly agree with you about the sport that can be had. One of my most favourite types of shooting for sure as the shots are so different and varied.

Robin, are you using steel or lead shot? It would be great if you put in the info section of the video what kit and ammo you are using. Your swivel chair appears to have been getting a bit of a beating, would recommend you look at the "Idleback Chair" when you can save up a few pennies. Im just a novice so please bear with me, as I only learn and build my knowledge on all shooting aspects by asking questions. When shooting shotguns do you not have to consider your back stop as the houses look pretty close. I understand this wouldn't be acceptable for a centre fired weapon, but how far could the shot travel from a shotgun?

The closest house is 440 yards away from that point. Fallout from a shotgun is no more than 230 yards. They loose velocity very quickly shotguns.

And how to download it to your tablet or computer I'm 70 and a dinosaur when it comes to technology and I do a bit of fox control and would invest in a shotkam if i could put the filming on my tablet. No mate the pellets fall back down after about 230/240 yards. The closest house is 440 yards to its garden. So there’s no way of reaching it with a shotgun.

Pigeons are shot as agricultural pests as per the gl's.not for sport,although they are the best of sporting shots.
