LEGO City Update - Far Corner Farm MOC Part 2 7637 👨‍🌾🚜🏹

Old MacRobin's Farm just got bigger and better, thanks to all your wonderful suggestions from last time. I do hope I've done them justice. I've also added a load of my own ideas and builds to make this a really bright and interesting corner of the city. Highlights include a gate, a vet scene, a field of crops, an old tractor and a hilarious chicken scene. It's so awesome already but, don't worry, there's yet more to come from "Far Corner Farm" in Part 3 next Friday!

maybe adding an alien hat monster like the one from the space tower hoping around in the crop circle to show it flattening the corn. And maybe use dark green tiles in a spiral like patten to show the corn flattened in that area.

The dark green tiles in a spiral is a great idea, can probably use the plant bracelet pieces (the ones on the cabbages) to fill in the gaps where the tiles don't quite line up (and support the angled tiles)

For a crop circle, you could put small light brown 1x1 tiles and put them on the baseplate in a circular pattern to represent dust because corn is usually grown on dirt and not green grass

I'd love to see a kid playing on the tractor. I loved playing on the old rusty tractors they had at the tree farm I would get my christmas trees at. Also a small windmill to pump water from a well would be great, maybe power it if you can find a way, have the technic axel powering it disguised as a water pipe

Horse Name: dobbin the crop circle feels it needs some small yellow and green bricks to show it has been pushed down. really enjoying the farm though

There could be a child being lost in the crop circle. Furthermore, you could add a little cherry tree or apple tree in the pig stall, maybe just half of it cut of by the imaginary guillotine :). Next to the road, you could a little stand with a salesperson that sales apples, cherries, carrots and more! And maybe there is also some space for a little bed for some extra vegetables. But so far the farm is still looking great!

I absolutely like the cornfield with the scarecrow and the old overgrown tractor. Maybe you can take one of its wheels off and lay it flat next to the tractor. Often those really old rusty tractors are falling apart with one or several wheels off. You can also try taking off (some of) the tires, to make it look more old and rusty and dysfunctioning. I'm not sure if it will look good, but you can try it.

You should put the scarecrow on a post, you can attach it using the stud neck bracket (42446) and a headlight brick incorporated as part of the post. It would make it look much more realistic and only take a few pieces and if you keep the crop circle, add some tan tiles to look like trodden crops

A suggestion to the missing fence piece on the side of the farm or the gate you filled the gap with: perhaps a crashed cart of the rollercoaster right on that spot might bring a fun scene?

You could potentially see about getting some of those letter tiles to spell out Far Corner Farm. Not sure how well they'd fit stylistically, though. Also, something you could potentially do to add color would be a small patch of 'pick your own flowers'.

I think to improve the crop circle you need to add a muddy circle in the middle with a gap in the middle and more mud in the gap if that makes sense. Basically like a target sort of shape and maybe some dead corn.

I look forward to your build videos more than I should haha - great video again Robin... can I just suggest maybe building two 'half' trees... by that, I mean two trees that would go either side of your cattle grid and be flat against the wall, to just frame that better, and maybe give the illusion that the road carries on. Another nice addition would have been a duck pond, but not sure you have the room. Re: The crop circle - I think the problem is that the green base plate and the green of the crops merge together - for it to work I think you'd have to maybe put dark brown plates under the crops to look like dirt/soil. The crop circle made me think of E.T. for some reason, could you pick up the E.T. minifigure and hide him in the field or perhaps the barn?

Great video and an incredible looking scene. I love the vet with the hand up the pig, but instead of a pig, you could use your new centaur figure that you got in your last haul. You could even change the centaurs face to one of surprise!!!😳

Depending on the position of the cargo truck, you may want to move the lego city/walking path sign to the other side of the gate so the truck doesn't block it. Maybe one of the hikers would be looking at the produce for sale outside the farm. :)

I like the arch over the drive way. You should put a road side stand with some farm kids selling the vegetables. You also could do a pumpkin patch like the promo we got on Halloween a pumpkin patch a d corn maze.

Maybe you could add some green and an odd yellow round 1x1 plate to be trampled/flattened cornstalks in your crop circle. Maybe also put an alien artifact somewhere near by that the Aliens accidentally left behind.

Yes fences need gates. It's not practical to have a field without tractor and farm vehicle accessible. So definitely keep the gate.

It would be interesting to place the bee tile from set "123 Sesame Street" on the fence and in the far corner the beekeeper with some wooden hives. You could use a 2x2x2 /3 ribbed modified plate (7152) in tan and a 2x2 tile to make them. You could also put the farm harvester transport (set 60223) coming into the farm.

Good job as always! The corn field is such a simple build but really effective, as is the small gate using the lattice pieces. For another animal suggestion, I think your barn could do with some cobwebs and a spider.

Very smart use of the differently styled fence used as a gate. I also like that US-styled entrance with the cow skull. As a random suggestion, how about one of those modern small metallic windmills in the far conrer?

You could use green, curved tiles to enhance the crop circle. Maybe make several rings with the tiles, and use any extra flower stems in between the circles to show that not everything was knocked down. I love the weeds along the fence line; definitely keep them! The sign is amazing; however, consider making it slightly taller. The broken down Massey tractor definitely enhances the scene. (I really like that model too!) Since the corn field is fairly small by agricultural standards, it could be a sweet corn field. Can't wait to see what else you add!

For a crop circle you could make the yellow brick in brown or black in a circle as if they were burned by some sort of alien ship. Also you should put a chicken sitting in the tracker

all the way in the very back corner, 'between' the grain silo and the milk tank, add a couple sections of train track as a 'siding' (use up some flex sections?) with an end-of-track buffer against the milk tank and put the short cow car from 60052 on the siding, maybe with a loading ramp between it and the corn silo.

absolutly love the corn field and the old tractor thats clearly my favorit part of the farm for now. As your farm sell apple I could suggest that you add an apple tree somewhere, maybe along the wall to suggest there is more. an also if you add aliens as the reasons of the crop circle, it could be fun to have a human minifig with a plank that wanted to create the crop circle himself but is shocked by the presence of real aliens.

Crop circles have the corn stalks bent over in a uniform way. Maybe use a hinge piece, or a dc superhero 45 degree bend piece, or a green snot brick to achieve this? That would lower the stalks in the circle and give the impression of depth.

What a beautiful cornfield you got there! Maybe as a suggestion for the arch, you can use 1x1 brown bricks under the "lego city ->" and hiking trail signage on the left to make it more uniform.

Once I saw the video cover I was blown away by how much you got done! The horses name could be Buckeye. The owl's name could be Jitters. You could add in some haystacks with one of those archery stands. For the water tower you should have some water spilling out into the crops. Keep the crop circle as it is. It looks great! For the spaceship you could put in a one from the Alien Conquest line or you could do a MOC spaceship. Oh and also add the bee guy from your last Brick Haul with his bee station and the ladybug girl from the same haul and her flower stand!

Nice new details. Mhh for the crop circle. Maybe put a little UFO where it just landed with the alien figure from the last video. Where you can then see him out of panes. And that would be the crop circle under the UFO but you don't have to build it in a complicated way. And a name for the horse. I think Mr. Ed. A name fron a old Series Mr. Ed with a funny speaking Horse.

Robin, love the looks of the farm. Everything looks awesome, but I do have a couple ideas. The first one has to do with your broke down tractor, you could remove one of the front wheels and prop it up against the old tractor or oil barrel to make the scene come alive. Another is that you could put the bee keeper in between your two large buildings and build a couple of homes for him to be collecting honey from. Lastly a name for the horse could be Trigger and the owl could be Athena. Thanks for the fantastic update.
