I can't believe how much I enjoyed Enterprise when I watched it on Netflix. Just a near-perfect old-school sci-fi adventure show and I'm bitter that it didn't get a full 7 seasons.

It got so much hate from a lot of Star Trek fans... unwarranted in my opinion, I bought the whole series way back, when that was actually a thing. If those fans only knew, how bad Trek could actually get... I'm looking at you Discovery.

ST: Enterprise was cancelled because the executive at CBS hated science fiction and Star Trek in particular and mothballed it so to use the funding to start the CW network and go after low-cost “chick shows”. The CW never made a profit in its whole existence.

once the xindi storyline was done they took too long to get to the romulan war and that killed ratings and interest. don't get me wrong, the vulcan stuff was great, but that stuff with terra prime or whatever was such a boring story it feels like that's the point enterprise just... died. that's just my subjective opinion on it. if they'd jumped over terra prime and went for "our main dilithium source was just hit by a romulan warbird going warp 7" which both reveals that the romulans had become a significant, competitive threat and starts the war, things would have been very different for this series.

@@thethirdchimpanzee They encounter a group of civilizations that use the technology that is used by the starbase. With members of the different species volunteering for a time to be connected to the tech. They found a station like this a long time ago and had build their whole society around that tech with some species requiring it to even interact normally with the others. Along comes Starfleet, starting to shutting down their tech without asking and treating it as a thread. In the end Section 31 baits the Klingons into attack them and destroying all the technology they need to function as a civilization, forcing a number of the member races back into a pre-war state.

Find this a bit selfish. Why can’t fans who want to discuss something that’s been out for 20 years not be able to do so freely because you’re watching clips of a show you should be watching if you don’t want spoilers, instead of watching random clips of it. I am just very disappointed to see someone trying to police how comments should be made because it could disappoint you, or be disappointed on someone’s behalf. That’s a sad state of the world if you need to police other people’s KZbin comments. Sorry, but that’s just how I see it. Remove yourself from the conversation if you feel you have to change the course of everyone else in order to be the conversation you are comfortable having.

If you haven't seen an older show, want to watch clips of it, and don't want to see a discussion about the show, don't read the comments. If you want to have a discussion with the limitations on spoilers, start a thread in an internet forum.
