EKV je obelezila moje dstinjstvo. Moj tata je znao reci da ljudi u tom bendu odlicno znaju o cemu pevaju, kakav tekst su napisali i koju poruku salju. "Idemo" je ostavila neizbrisiv trag kod mene.

Exactly on November 5, it was 30 years since the death of EKV frontman Milan Mladenovich (1994 - 2024 = 30 😢) PS: Catherine the Great is name of the band. they named it after the Russian empress. Originally, the band was briefly called Catherine the Second

After the death of Milan Mladenović in 1994, the remaining members of Ekatarina Velika (EKV) also faced tragic fates: Margita "Magi" Stefanović: The keyboardist and key member of EKV, Magi continued with musical projects after the band's breakup. Unfortunately, she struggled with personal issues, including drug addiction. She passed away on September 18, 2002, in Belgrade at the age of 43. Bojan Pečar: The bassist left EKV in 1989 and moved to London, where he continued his music career. He died on October 13, 1998, at the age of 39. The official cause of death was a heart attack, though there was speculation about a possible overdose. Ivan "Vd" Vdović: EKV’s first drummer and former member of Šarlo Akrobata, Vdović was the first registered AIDS patient in Yugoslavia. He passed away on September 25, 1992, at the age of 31. Dušan Dejanović: The band’s first drummer, he also died of AIDS on November 16, 2000. These tragic fates of EKV’s members further contributed to their legendary status on the music scene of the former Yugoslavia.
