the saddest thing is, I had discord for about five minutes as a not even teenager yet, my mom got an email, and that resulted in a whole, the internet isn't safe talk, which I'm very grateful for because when I was twelve and a half I got roblox, joined a "family friendly" hangout game and instantly was bombarded with being asked for my snap, phone number, discord and was asked if I wanted a bf, to which I said no to all of that. I then went into a hotel room, saw SO MUCH not safe for work content and instantly left the game. nowadays I have admin and try to do my best to help the game ever once and a while, there were eight-year-olds on this game.... Discord wasn't supposed to be a predator hub from the start. It's just that despite NSFW servers prohibiting teenagers and children from accessing, it's more due to others posting on main chat for tomfoolery. I actually got curious about the Roblox Condos, and decided to do some digging and found some servers. There were some that allowed minors (although 16+ and didnt allow interaction between age gaps of more than 2 years or smth like that. still weird but they seemed to be very strict on the moderation of that. i didnt go much deeper) all of them keep it to their server, you wont have little timmy stumbling across a roblox condo by browsing the roblox website. I honestly think roblox should leave the condos alone and focus their moderation on other issues, like the massive hacker problem. any actual predation is happening on discord, so discord should be handling that. Also, you mentioned Discord only bans extremism. I was in a server that was full of people who were quite fond of a certain austrian if you know what i mean, and its still up to this day, despite containing several rules that directly discriminated against LGBTQ people and people of color. It also had a lot of slurs in it.

i sometimes think, if they finally take down the websites after some sorta reveal or whatever in a day or so after viewing, it might be possible its a uhhhhh private lawsuit or whatever its called(i forgot). and since not enough evidence then guess what, they'll still try battling it out but this is theory CAN be wrong since roblox can probably contact youtubers like "hey can you help gather some evidence about `insert website link` cause bad" but it'd be weird idk you can think of roblox also experimenting with these updates to see what the roblox playerbase actually likes the most one example of roblox experimenting is the fluctuation between good and horrendous updates, after enough time and experimentation THEN they could possibly try keep a consistent flow of good updates

It seems like all of these corporations are just trying to make decisions that will give them more money in the short term instead of focusing about what will give them more money in the long term. It's ironic because you would think that a huge company would know how to make good financial decisions and even the companies themselves think they're making the perfect financial decisions even though it's so obvious that there are better decisions they could be making.
