The point of the game is that it's a collection of dreams the game's creator has had. For whatever reason, or lack thereof, they experienced these, and have recreated them for us to experience.

@@brianflavin5651 most of the worlds are based off of and inspired by both of the og games (yume 2kki and nikki), some are custom-made, and while a few of the worlds are based off of noroi's dreams, a handful of them are also suggested by the community. that's why i said it's based off of the game, most of them are just roblox adaptations and inspired/referenced off of other media as well, even the vending machines. i'll list them all here ; EVENTS ; ああああ pit in underwater world - yume nikki's あああああ resting world event - yume nikki's buddha rave - - - - - - WORLDS ; nexus - do i even have to list this here,, hylics/clay world - based off of the game 'hylics' red grass world - the entities inside are inspired by the album 'animal collective - sung tongs' white desert a and b - yume nikki's white desert(s) and yume 2kki's monochrome feudal japan cardboard world - yume nikki and 2kki's warehouse hell/red maze - yume nikki's hell and yume 2kki's static noise hell tatami world (or atleast the spawn area) - yume 2kki's tatami room tatami world (flesh area) - yume nikki's eyeball world (along with body parts npcs) mural world (one with painting effect) - yume nikki's mural world underwater bus - yume nikki's traincar the sewers - yume nikki's sewers and yume 2kki's lingering sewers dark museum - yume 2kki's dark museum city world - yume 2kki's graffiti city (slight inspo) the small town area in underwater world - yume 2kki's buried city butterfly/greenhouse world - yume 2kki's butterfly passage (slight inspo, is also linear) the cafe where you get the hot chocolate in the city - yume 2kki's cocktail lounge (the city world is also inspired by this) subway world - yume 2kki's old train station a and b (slight inspo) underwater world - most of yume 2kki's ocean worlds beach world - yume 2kki's realistic beach - - - - - - NPCS ; ubo in white desert b - yume nikki's uboa skeleton dogs/bird in red grass world - insert animal collective - sung tongs here twin tails girl/anatsuki in classroom and stone world - most likely inspired by either monoe or monoko in yume nikki floating head in dark forest - yume nikki's floating head(s) the smiling face dude with 2 animated frames in the underwater bus - yume 2kki's scary face (chaser) the npcs in the sewers - yume nikki's alley demon i would write a lot more but my fingers are begging me to stop i think you get the general idea

This game is basically yume nikki in roblox, it even says in the description that it's a fangame. Also, I don't think many people have noticed this, but the map you spawn in when you first enter the game in the waking world is a very accurate replica of the home in the taiwanese psychological horror game, Devotion. The living room, kitchen, bedroom and hallway is almost the exact same as in the actual game. This is a cool reference

When I first played this game It was pretty calming and drove my curiosity as I explored. But as I went deeper and deeper into the different dream worlds, I started to find myself in places that made me a bit nervous. I play horror games a lot like Phasmophobia, bendy &the ink machine, backrooms, and little nightmares which I love and I've never had a problem with any of them. For me what Really makes Dream world scary or disturbing is how the the character's and events are similar to Dreams and Nightmares I've experienced as a child and in fact almost the same. I still explore Dream world for I know none of it is real but that feeling of dejavu is still there.
