Former ROBLOX dev here: it was heavily discouraged to use roblox physics in your game for any reason. I went as far as to write custom ballistics math for weapons that included ricochet derived from normal impact, and tick-based position and rotation handling for vehicles with suspension mechanics. You essentially had to rewrite the physics engine in small doses to get anything resembling a quality product. Glad I got out of that shitstorm sooner as opposed to later.

ROBLOX's physics engine is functional, but exploitable and low quality compared to the built in physics engines of platforms like UE4 or Unity. There are easy ways to clip through geometry, fling objects at high speed, cancel velocity unexpectedly, etc. I never said this guy rewrote the physics or made this game, I'm saying I rewrote physics for certain applications during my time as a freelancer for the platform. In it's most root form for simple applications like obbies and basic character movement, it does its job, but in more advanced applications like ballistics, suspension, and input deterministic physics, it really shows its inadequacies compared to modern game engines.
