Issue is, contracts signed by minors aren‘t legally binding, so actually it would technically be theft to take back the money, as the contract wasn‘t actually legally binding and so the transfer of money had happened without any terms, and so the money would be possession of the child. Though I am not a lawyer so anything I just said is prolly not fully correct nor legal advice (clearly).
