Or, another part of the inspiration could've been from some of the Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion creatures. Most of them usually just show a bunch of cryptic text, some of them show you a little cutscene too that is morbid. However, *some* of them have their own death sequences, where you can still technically play the game and walk around, but you are already in a death sequence so... game over. For example, the Fast Food Bull, Deer King, or even WhiteFace in a way.

I really like the redesigns, and I really like the worldbuilding of Chainsmoker's "jumpscare", which reminds me a lot of Spooky's jumpscare mansion in a way, along with looking SO much better with particle spawning rather than a texture. Blitz's jumpscare is a bit eh for me, it could have been executed a bit better, like showing it through a different perspective or something, and it just would be funny if you put a meme during his "jumpscare" if you could call it that. I personally think Blitz should have had a proper one as well, but I do think Chainsmoker is PERFECT as is, it will make playthroughs way more enjoyable and more interesting now.

actually something they could do to make the froger iron lung reference even more on the nose is that if it catches you, youre sent to the bottom of a red ocean where youre able to look around but not move. after a while, you hear something in the distance and see froger's eyes looking at you, after which it kills you very, very on the nose, but i appreciate these types of scares more than just "loud noise png that shakes as it gets bigger before switching to a different image"

There are 2 ways someone depicts the blitz jumpscare. The first one thinks that blitz just suddenly stops after seeing you, and slowly moves in for the kill. (People proceed to call it a rush jumpscare knockoff) The second one thinks that blitz jumpscare was supposed to look like a bodycam footage, slowed down to frame-by-frame to show the sheer speed blitz has.

Lorewise, the variants are insanely interesting. They were never discovered and brought to the blacksite, they just *appeared* in the blacksite after the breakout occurred, explaining why none of the files know exactly what they do, and it's left to the player to study them on their own. Something, or some things, inside the blacksite created the variants by attacking/effecting some of the Anglers. The Anglers don't exactly seem happy about it either, all the variants look absolutely pissed (except chainsmoker, who looks like it's dead inside), and most of them were actually weakened by their mutation. Pinky lost her EMP powers, Frogger lost his sense of direction, and chainsmoker looks like he's been mostly killed and turned into a vessel for the paranoia. Blitz seems fine, but something about his scream and aggression makes it seem like he's in constant pain, which has him enraged enough to be as fast as he is.

Yes the ‘weird green box’ is the ‘paranoia box’ or something i forgor and they have the same green gas that makes you feel sort of uncomfortable and thats why u will be kicked out of the locker in a few seconds when encountering chainsmoker

Here are the differences: Angler: The new jumpscare image is a bit different, having 3 eyes and a less wider mouth. At the end of the jumpscare, new angler appears to be smaller. Chainsmoker: (My favourite, as is pretty much everyone else’s.) Before jumpscaring, Chainsmoker let’s out a green smoke, and I think it’s much more apparent. After, it will send you to some kind of green place, an area where you’re destined to be doomed. Blitz: Jumpscare is much slower. Blitz appears small/far away, then steps closer 4 times, with a silence after.
