As a professional builder, I also find it helpful to have rotation at about 13-15 Anything lower is not needed even for detailed builds! And also remember to not always use the same increments. I use 0 for scaling and moving for cleaner movement and more exact detailing, but for repetitive things set it anything higher than 1! Also using textures is good for detailed builds, and glitching parts can be fixed by simply making the selected parts a union. If making windows see through finish the exterior of the build first before negating the parts where the window “holes” are. If you don’t want transparent windows set the inside part to a light blue and set the reflectance to 0.3-0.7
@cafune72 жыл бұрын
rotations are ok as long as they align with your parts or it really depends what you are working on in general, but yeah! depending on what you're doing or how you want to execute something then below 15 is totally not needed! increments i tend to use range from 0.05, 0.1, or 0.2 just because i don't like z-fighting and find it easiest to avoid them so i don't have to fix them later on! it makes building for me faster because i know everything's lined up without worrying about going back to the z-fighting. yes, unions are totally possible for creating holes, but for me i find they make the select/hitboxes for parts very weird which makes it hard to select finer details when i place normal parts next to the union, so i tend to avoid unions in my case just because it also seems a bit lazy unless it's absolutely necessary! also thanks for the tip for windows, will try that out!

@cafune72 жыл бұрын
@@fentnyll for sure! it's just hard i find to do walkthroughs/guides since roblox is not as restricted as minecraft, eg saying "build a five block by five block base!". there are too many in between steps to create detail which is always in the eye of the builder i find.. though i really would love to do more informative content like this if people find it helpful even if it's not really like a "step-by-step" tutorial to build a house. so if you have suggestions of what you're curious about that you'd like me to touch on in a possible future video, let me know :)

@@cafune7 I definitely understand that it can be hard to explain different things with studio, and I applaud you for doing so - my main issues with building currently are roofs, even with this tutorial I still find myself z-fighting a lot with my shingles. ontop of that, I'm really, really bad at using wedges in order to make my build pop out. if you could be more in depth about those two things i would greatly appreciate it! PS: keep up the videos, i've watched every single one on your channel and they're so calming. I also really enjoy your taste in music, it really brings the video together.
