as a TL vet, i will fill you in on some of the stuff Some unobtainable ships can be traded (auction ships or special ships that were given via nahr, ex. the other ships that were buildable, ex the badger, astra, atlas, etc. are not tradable also (please dont join the community, it is very toxic, game's kinda fun, just community is really toxic)

My pitch to improve sailing: -Add temporary speed boosters to shorten the time it takes to travel and also to abruptly change direction -Add rocks in specific locations that make it so traveling through them is faster than sorrounding them, that way players who go throght them are rewarded with a faster route to the islands but suffer the risk of wrecking your ship

make a review on starscape, its just as community-based and has a LOT of cool features. the developer focuses heavily on optimisation just so large-scale dogfights can happen, and the absolute BEHEMOTH of a map with over 5,000 systems is constantly changing due to player-based faction wars.

I've played roblox since 2011, and without a doubt, and it's not even up for debate in my eyes, Skit Gaming is the greatest roblox youtuber ever since it came out, is he as popular as he should be? This game reminds me an awful lot of TNF (The New Frontier) and Northwind, sadly TNF died a while ago and Northwind is on a fast decline due to many reasons. I have heard of tradelands a few times and after watching this video, I think that it may be my main game to play if Northwind dies. Thanks for the great video!

Tradelands is a game with a great concept with extremely heavy and shitty flaws. Pros of the gameplay: It's completely unique which is what most of TL's success is stemmed from. Demand is a good mechanic in the game but doesn't stop people from just using the same trade routes. Lore: Lore is the one of the few things that's genuinely good about the game, with the lore being very interesting and expansive. Problem is most of it is gatekept to higher ups in the community and the lore itself is extremely mishandled. Like the part of the lore where you talked about in the video is barely scratching the surface of TL's actual lore. Cons: Community: TL's community is a joke, it's a toxic shithole full of disgusting people. The two main devs (well one's left for a diff game now) both harbored a pedo as a mod in the community with nahr (him being in his 20's) making extremely inappropriate comments about an underaged mod in 2018 or so. Not to mention how there were multiple confirmed pedophiles in the community who either never got banned or were banned THEN unbanned after. There's also blatant mod bias with mods using forged evidence to ban an entire faction because they simply didn't like them. The community is also weirdly hostile to new players and is super hard to get into. Gameplay: It takes a while to realize that gameplay is kinda shitty. They ruined piracy with a garbage update in late 2020 and made the game's entire meta of income around trading by reducing piracy bonus and not letting all cargo drop from a sinking ship. Now there's not really a point to piracy because you're only making slightly more for a whole lot more effort than someone who just afks and trades. Combat: Combat is very simple and was good until they introduced the RNG stun mechanic. No one likes stun mechanics in fighting games. It's why brig was overpowered in overwatch. It's why the sandman used to be completely busted in TF2. Point is no one likes stun mechanics because it's not skillful. Tack on the RNG aspect of it and it completely ruins it. Gunplay is good and feels smooth but the best guns (caplock muskets/pistols) are basically locked behind a paywall. (You get HQMs from loyalty which takes 12 days to get a caplock musket or you can buy them from the premium store for robux). Hitboxes are also pretty shitty and combat is really determined by whether your computer's good or not, as ping above 100 literally ruins your chances of winning a fight. Pay to win: There's people that actually whale on the game and spend thousands of real life dollars on this. It's kinda sad
