When people bring up drakes response time, it’s missing context. Kendrick dissed on the 1st part of a 2 part album that kept the same theme of “We don’t trust you”. So he waited for the smoke to clear, responding the day after the 2nd part of the album drop. I don’t see it as drake taking 2 - 3 weeks to reply given the circumstances. I love your breakdowns man! I would say though, when it comes to the “being on tour” excuse, the truth is Hip Hop fans have never really given Drake credit as an emcee even before all the ghostwriting controversy. But Meek on the other hand was viewed as a battle rapper and Kendrick as a real emcee and lyricist so no one should reasonably expect Drake to be able to come back with bars quicker than them. Plus in both these cases, Drake was the one responding. He didn’t initiate it so he should actually have time to craft a real response. But if they started it, they should be ready to go.
