I feel a bit bad for the fat boy, he’s kacking himself. Rob feels the nerves too no doubt but is channeling it perfectly. On the other hand, maybe I don’t feel too bad, I can see how Leeds might be a bully. Bigger people often throw their weight around to intimidate others. They’re able to crush men who’ve were emasculated by toxic fathers at childhood for example, but then someone like Rob comes along and stands up to the bully. The bully begins to get fidgety and melt. Rob should NEVER have given into the 3 rounds demand. He wanted 5, the other guy 3, 4 is fair. Rob was already giving Sam choice of 2 min rounds, smaller gloves, no head guard, 18 ft vs 20ft ring AND he’s giving away over 10 years in age! Crazy. They should have done something unorthodox like the first round is 3 mins, then the last two 2 mins. The boxing purists will scream about that but only because they’re fixed by tradition. Sam acts like he’s being super agreeable by ‘letting’ Rob choose head guard or not, but only because he just maneuvered Rob into doing 3x2s in an 18ft ring - Rob got played.

Also Sam clearly has the weight and strength advantage and will have to lose weight before the fight for it to be fair, (all fat blokes are strong, just not fit, Source: has fat mates that think they are strong and very tall when really they are just fat.)

It’s minus 1 point for losing the round, then minus 1 for each knockdown (defined as you connecting with a punch and the opponent’s glove touches the canvas as a result. Also can be minus one for getting badly rocked and the ref feels it necessary to give an 8 count. Why important, because you DO NOT automatically get awarded a 10:8 round if you knock your opponent down - though most judges do this - it is WRONG. You can knock your opponent down in the first 10 secs, and then get your head boxed off for the remaining 2:50 mins of the round. This SHOULD Be scored a 9:9 round, not 10:8 to the guy who managed a knockdown but then got beaten up for the rest of the round (same as round 12 of Fury Wilder 1), Fury did get knocked down, but then got up and stuck it on Wilder. That SHOULD have been scored a 9:9 round even, but for some reason the boxing judges don’t seem to know the rules. It’s mostly an old boys club full of uneducated individuals. The best ref in England is Steve Grey - he actually enforces the rules - no excessive holding etc. If you win the round by displaying superior activity, footwork, defensive, power punches landed etc. AND get the knockdown, you should score 10 points and the opponent 8 (minus 2 points). If you win the round on points, and score TWO knockdowns, it should be 10 to you, 7 to the opponent.
