This is a good representation as to why eye wittness testimony is often unreliable as it accurate captures how we see things. at first glance the city with people walking in it looks normal, but focusing on them, we can see there are issues. This is actually an impressive visualisation of how a memory works and how if you actually think you see details peripherally, you either are in a tiny minority with exceptional recall or your memory is filling in gaps.
