Hi, it's a nice robot. Maybe you will compare it to the Xiaomi Roidmi Eva (careful not Roidmi Eve but Eva it's their 2nd model). They released it i think and it is inspired by the Darwal. I think it will kick Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra to the moon and back in mopping. I am thinking of buying it. Congratulations on coming out with new robot reviews before Robot Wars channel. Usually he was 1st to present any new robot (good reviews not just unboxing and silly things) . You surpassed him ☺️ .

Hahaha thanks, Vacuum Wars is still my inspiration and go to person to get the most up to date specifications. Much respect to him!!! Anyways the Roidmi Eva seems like a very viable competitor, especially since it several hundred dollars cheaper compared to the S7 MaxV and OMNI X1. I personally haven’t had the opportunity to try the Roidmi models but hopefully someday I will. Thanks for watching and the kind words.

Thanks for your review! How would you rate this against the Dreame W10?
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
Well it hard to say exactly. The W10 doesn’t have self emptying and is significantly cheaper. I would say the mopping performance is better on the S7 due to the vibrating mopping pad vs counter spinning ones. This is based on my personal testing. As for vacuuming they both do well. The side brush on the S7 is larger so it able to get debris from the edges and corners better. One thing I like about the W10 is the carpet avoidance sensor when mopping. In some areas of my home I have to physically remove the mopping pad on the S7 because it too thick and just drags it over the carpet. If you want all the advance obstacle avoidance and features than get the S7. If mopping more of a priority and want to save some money the W10 not a bad option.
@louism33412 жыл бұрын
@@RobotMasters Thanks for the detailed response! As my house has a 50/50 split between carpet and hardfloor, sounds like W10 might be better (and money saving of course!) I know the W10 can be programmed for 3 levels, but I don't think it automatically recognises which floor it is on. Any idea if it's a pain to work with multi floor?
@sdcoinshooter2 жыл бұрын
Sooooo…. I am very interested in either this or the comparable one coming out from Ecovacs. My floor is hardwood with several rugs here and there. What I am HOPING (can you confirm) that this unit will do, is vacuum the wood floor, and at the same time mop. If it comes to a rug, it will recognize the rug, and stop the mopping action, just continue on and vacuum the rug. The process continues. When it returns to the base, it will self-empty the dust bag, and change out the water in the tank with fresh water, and clean the mop head. Is this all correct? Thank you,
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct. When it in counters a carpet or rug the mopping pad lifts up and only vacuums. When the water tank gets low it will automatically go back an refill the water tank. Can cover up to 3,230 SQFT. As for cleaning the mopping pad you can set a certain duration or have it go back once a room done.

@@RobotMasters (A little big but i hope you don't mind) First run it seemed a little erratic: went to a really small toilet 3 times, and some nonsense navigation but sure it will "learn" better with the time. Also, I don't know if it's really more silent than my (very) old S50 but it doesn't seem, at all, to have the claimed 5100Pa suction power, even at max power. The app is also good but there's one thing that, unbelievable, is lacking: option to delete just one division. My living room has big glass doors and Roborock saved it like it was an extension of the living room and now i can't delete it. Just one last question: do you know what kind of cleaning products are safe to use for the mop? Obviously they say to only use their own but not only it seems to be more towards really tough stains (and i want just to mop better than only with water, and to leave a fresh smell) but also it's ridiculous expensive. Thanks and sorry for another message (and this time a big one).

This review so good and helpful. I am in love with this. When does it comes out (tentatively)? Is $ 1400 for both the products? A few other questions: 1. Can we add hot/warm water for mopping? 2. Are there any particular liquids/chemicals needed for the mop feature or does any standard cleaning liquid work? 3. Do we have the option to buy these bags & mop separately? (I believe they are new) 4. What are the standard post-purchase services & warranty? 5. Have anyone had any issues with the application per se? 6. I know it says any floors - but does it help with wet floors (like bathrooms to wipe it up?) 7. What's the highest it can 'climb' up to? I have these dividers in my apartment that are around 2 inches, will it be able to cross that? 8. What's the max it can deal with to go below? (Like a mini step)
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
Hello so as for adding chemicals to the mopping water tank, it not recommended. Harsh chemicals could potentially damage the pump and rubber houses inside the robot. I know Roborock will have their own cleaning solution. As for the thresholds, the max is a free mm so you would need to divide the area into two maps or physical help the robot over the barrier. You can also make a ramp. As for warranty, I believe it a year and roborock provides accessories aka bags. Wet floors is not recommended not designed to pickup wet spills. Lastly the Application works well and haven’t really noticed any problems. Roborock actively updated their software every few months.

I am doing well personally, just working and might start a 2nd KZbin channel. I been focused on getting in shape and eating better. Hmmmm there some Pros and Cons. Pros, it a good cleaner overall and it navigates well. Cons the pricing and the fact it doesn’t dry the mopping pad, relies on air drying.

well, the i7 became a safety hazard (in my opinion) and the j7 had nothing wrong, but i had to return it because i didn’t have enough money to afford the monthly planing.

the i7 had an automatic dirt disposal glitch, where it emptied FOUR times, it failed to dock and almost messed it up, a pin punctured the bag, it started squeaking, which my ears absolutely can’t handle, and i had to stick my fingers into the brushroll to get it to stop when i picked it up.

I'll stick with my Roborock S7 plus. However, 2 updates ago they ruined the lidar comprehension. The robot now doesn't physically navigate around my mapped rooms as well as it did before the updates. It takes longer gets stuck and performs worse. I'm not happy at all. It worked flawlessly before they messed up the firmware.
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience, I get why companies like to push updates but sometimes they can cause more issues for the consumer. I kinda wish there was away to undo an update and allow the customer to stick with a certain update and not be forced to update if they don’t want to.

Think I am waiting for Irobot to bring out a new Braava Jet...all roborocks seem to have good "average or meh" mops, I never really use the mop pad only the vacuum. I just want a decent dedicated auto empty mopping robot only. I don't care if I need 2 robots, as long as they both do a good job. When companies combine them they almost always suck.
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
Good points, yeah it hard to make a good hybrid mopping robot. The Braava Jet M6 is good because of the dedicated cleaning pattern. The benefit of having two machines is you can divide and conquer. Vacuum the carpet while the other robot mopping the floors.

@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
@@MrBlueCreeper So how this works is, there preset furniture you can add to each area of your map. Like keep out zones you can resize them. This is designed to give you a visual representation of where certain things are in your home. You can select the furniture icon and the robot will clean only that area. It a cool feature but I prefer iRobot simple select a cleaning area by room name. I found myself quickly selecting the room I want through the app.

@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
@@mathieuB062 Hello, it really depends on what you are looking for. The S9+ despite being an older model still is a good cleaner. The self emptying system is one of the best out there. If you are looking for a good cleaner and like the larger dual extractor bars that the D Shape has to offer than the S9+ is a good option. If you are looking for more App features, Obstacle avoidance, and additional Map features than you might want to look at the Roborock series, 360 lineup or the Ecovacs.

I still thinks roborock really should follow rotating mop like other, it's much more simple and probably even better mopping system. All this just adding unnecessary complexity and and point of failure, not to mention roborock so expensive this day.
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, yes the VibraRise system complex with the lifting feature and vibrating features. I agree keeping it simple will allow it to last longer in the long run. From my observation, I really think the robot should have a dedicated mopping pattern. For example the Braava Jet m6 or the Viomi had dedicated mopping patterns and allowed them to mop equally as well as ones that had spinning mopping pads or vibrating ones.
@anubizz32 жыл бұрын
@@RobotMasters are you getting ecovacs X1 Omni? I do hope they fix theirs horrible navigation. My ecovacs t9+ do it's job ok, but for some reason it breakdance alot when it encounter rug even when no mopping attachment installed, it's like it paranoid against rug.
@RobotMasters2 жыл бұрын
@@anubizz3 Well I was planning on getting one, but since the S7 MaxV is coming I couldn’t justify the $1800 price tag. I think the X1 is a viable competitor. I agree having used the T8 and AIVI I still find some weird navigation quirks, especially if there changing of obstacles aka furniture.
@xeon2k82 жыл бұрын
if you go with rotating then you loose the possibility of vacuuming, or you have to interchange the accessories by hand. That's why the only one that did it was Narwal and it was pretty sh1t at vacuuming. Also it can't go over low pile carpets with that system. Then if you say "just make a robot for each task" it ends up costing more than one combined.

And also which of them choose the best track to go from point A to B even if not linear because of obstacles inside. Sorry for my poor english, hope it is enough comprehensible :) Again, thanks for your videos

Hello thanks for your feedback and glad you like the video. The Z10 Pro a good option with excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. As of now the Z10 does better navigating obstacles and maps quicker than the S7. Keep in mind the S7 Ultra is very new so it may take some time for Roborock to improve the software.
