I also bought this i Traded in my Roborock 7 I think having the camera is alot better then the one with out. this one seems to not get stuck like my old one. So far I am happy with it.

For the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, it is recommended to dilute the cleaning solution before adding it to the cleaning chamber. Most manufacturers advise against adding concentrated cleaning solutions directly into the robot's system, including the refill and drainage system, as this can cause issues like clogging, damage to internal components, or affect the robot's performance. Ensure the cleaning solution is appropriate for use with robotic mops and that it is diluted according to the product's guidelines. Directly adding concentrated solutions, especially to the refill and drainage system, may also void the warranty or cause malfunctions.

Hi, I wonder if you can show how the multi level/maps is suposed to work. For me it is a bit unclear how to start cleaning e.g. second floor if I have a separate map and routine for that floor. Also how to return to the dock and do the mop-cleaning and empty dust-bin just as when starting and returning from dock on first floor where the dock is located.

Apparently unless you select a full cleaning the flex arm side brush will not extend..

Is this true? I sent it out to clean a single room and I noticed the flex arm didn’t extend. Thought it was bc of the AI Smartplan cleaning mode.

It doesn't make sense to purchase these $1000+ robot vacuums because in 6 months to a year, something is released that's actually as good or better for 1/2 the price. Folks who purchased the Dreame L20 or S8 Ultra at full price literally just had to wait 6 months for the L20 to be 1/2 the price or for the Eufy X10 to be released. You're better off just buying an L20 or Eufy X10 at a steep discount.

The arm will not extend unless you do a FULL cleaning. Also, it will not “notice” or identify an iPhone cord if it is not in a pile. So if it is laying straight, it will suck it right up. Roborock support told me about both of these issues. I hope they send a firmware update to address these issues.

What’s your opinion on the mop feature in regards to light spills and stains? I currently have a Roborock S4 and mop once a month. I take care of hard spills, but stuff like water drops and foot prints, I leave till the end of the month to mop. Does the mop feature of the S8 MaxV Ultra eliminate these small water or footprint stains on the floor? Would like to upgrade if it can eliminate the manual mop all together since my whole house is vinyl flooring!

In some testing I have seen the sonic mop actually does better than the spinning mop. These are extreme condition tests, for regular cleaning they all work well from what I have seen.
