While this is new tech, it's been around on the Dreame X50 for some months now, and I Have the Dreame X40 which has a extendable side brush and it's great for corners.

Why not start with mid 00's ? :) there were so many gimmicks since the early to mid 2000's, too. when phones changed from black and white to colour, to polyphonic ringtones, to decent camera, then full keyboards, knock knock it's the Nokia nGAGE, briefly blackberry was cool, first touchscreens then better ones, first iPhone etc etc this is all still before 2010

I won the Saros 10 in a contest and it has been great so far even coming from my Qrevo with the spinning mops! With 3 dogs in the house and rainy days I mop often! Was a little skeptical at first when I received it because I hadn’t ever used to VibraRise before but, turns out they work wonderfully. This year the vibrating area is also 26% larger for better scrubbing!

You're one of the very few channels I hit "like" before watching, please keep up the good work. The robot vacuums are becoming quite sophisticated now. As I have maintained for years I won't replace my half-broken +10yr old LG Roboking (vr6340lv) until 2027. 😂 I believe that's when the technology may start to mature & plateau & be worth the price, especially considering robovacs cost twice as much where I live compared to the American domestic market.

10:44 I’m actually most interested in the new midrange/budget options. They look like they’re not using RGB cameras but the old reactive tech from the original Qrevo, which I like for privacy. Extendable side brush, mop rollers, and anti tangle brush are also trickling down which I like to see.

Roborock continue to confuse the world with model numbers and features You say the Saros 10 is the high end one but to me the 10R spinning mops and new detection methods should on paper be better? Yea the 10r might perform better in some ways, but overall the 10 has better specs. First the vacuum motor appears to be larger, second the dock has a larger dirty water tank and it has a concealed water tanks behind a lid and a fold down door for the dustbag. The dock is certainly more premium as does the robot.

Based on reviews from Chinese reviewers, the Saros 10R object avoidance is not great and was well below the Dreame X50 and Narwal. The object avoidance 3.0 on the Saros 10 will likely be better. Now, they had time to brush it up for the international market so maybe it has been improved.

Hi Jamie What should I do? I would like to upgrade my Roborock s7, as the upgrades are very beneficial for me. I was sure that I should buy Roborock Curve, but know I'm not sure any more.. These seems to have better upgrades and also the new mechanical arm seems out of this world! I Want it so bad. They did not show he mechanical picking up multiple objects, but it wont be practical, if it only pick one object up, goes back into place, drive a halv meter, comes out again, and do it all over again. Hope we can get a pick up mode, where it picks all the stuff in the room, than does the cleaning.

If I were in the market and these were in my budget I would wait for reviews first. The Z70 will clean the entire room and then go back and move objects and then clean where those objects were.

I am curious why they are sticking with a vibrating mop on the slightly higher end model when basically everyone says rotating mops work better. I'm confused by the naming and pricing differences. Internationally, it seems the Saros 10R is positioned as the premium model, but in China the Saros 10 (known as the G30) is actually more expensive than the Saros 10R (marketed as the G20S Ultra). It's like Tim Cook sells you iphone 17 and iphone 17 pro except the internal name for the phones is iphone 16 and iphone 15 pro😂

It sounds like all of the companies are releasing new robots this year. I think the 10R sounds the most interesting, I think spinning mop pads work better than the vibrating pad. I recently got the Q Revo Edge and it's really good. I'm not sure if the C70 model is supposed to be better than the Saros 10, you'd think so since the model number is higher but not sure. I don't think Irobot introduced anything at CES, at this point I would be surprised if they are able to catch up, they have fallen so far behind everyone else. Ecovacs is also introducing a new flagship model, the T8.

These will be likely much more expensive than the Curv, and yea overall they are better in several ways but I am speaking about specs since I am still in the testing process I can't comment on how much better or worse they may perform just yet. Unless you need the lower height to get into hard to reach areas, slightly better object avoidance and detergent injection I am not sure if you will see a lot of benefit from going with these over the Curv. Now If you are the type of person to always buy the very best then sure. The Narwal Flow I have not seen yet so I have no clue how well it will clean or what sacrifices it will make. What you have seen is the exact same marketing materials I have seen. Looks very promising though and I am excited to test it out.

No your opinion with the little bit info that we know.. I strongly believe the narwal flow with that new mop is tons better than these robó new models except the one with arm. You agree? Look at the narwal mop and I think can carry water in the container to clean the mop while "mopping" so if you have two or three floors in your house you can pick it up and will do the job without needing a base.

In my experience ultrasonic/vibrating mop is better for heavy stains or dry stains. Also rotating mops are more prone to be damaged and wear faster in my experience. And in case of roborock the dock is easier to clean with vibrating mop version

I think they consider the 10R to be a flagship model even if some of the specs are a bit less than the 10.

Vibrating mop is really nice, super wide and consistent coverage. I think rotating gets unfairly praised compared to vibrarise. Not to mention, neither are even close to the roller style mop though . . . looking forward to roborock implementing that.

i think that roborock's release schedule is ridiculous. the qrevo slim came out just a few months ago, and now they've moved on to StarSight 2.0. roborock could have much more dramatic and meaningful upgrades if they only released a new flagship every year. but that's not where the market is going.

That is not a new design. It has been around since 2021 with the S7 MaxV Ultra and has many different models to use the same system. Hardly ever see problems with them.

Well im bit torn between 10 and 10R, 10R deffinitely has better navi system, however worse suction power and worse mopping system (rotating mops are more likely to damage or wear than ultrasonic system, also in my experience ultrasonic is better for sweet or dry stains). I want 10 with 10R navi 🤣

I just got a Roborock qrevo master and I hate it. I think I’ll return it because it put so much water on my wood floor that I had to follow with a towel to dry the wood. It didn’t lift on my throw rugs it left them all messed up. I have an older model 6 and it works so much better.

You should be able to lower the water output in the app. I highly suggest picking up throw rugs. Many robots will push them around and bunch them up.

I feel they missed the mark with the Saros 10 considering it is supposed to be the successor of the S8 MaxV Ultra. 1. No double brush design is a mistake. Overall, double brush design SHOULD be better on carpets, there are already a lot of good Roborock options recently with the single brush + you got the Saros 10 R for that. 2. The look is kinda fugly compared to the S8 MaxV Ultra imo, it doesn't look 'premium' like it should. The dock looks amazing though 3. Going back to VibaRise is a strange decision, before the advantage was that it can lift 20mm above but now they made it lower to the ground so kinda defeats its purpose. The only reason to get it is because you want one with really good obstacle avoidance + self cleaning dock. I hope I am wrong though and it turns out to be the most impressive one.

going back to vibrarise? the S line had vibrarise since the S7, what do you mean with going back. The dual roller is way worse for hair tangling (i have the S8 pro ultra) than the split roller so you loose some and gain some, there's no perfect solution for rollers yet

VibraRise main selling point was that it can lift up really high but now it has a low profile to the ground. Dreame X50 has a dual brush that has anti tangling properties, so this has been figured out. Its still too early, but look up 'Narwal flow' and 'Dreame Z5 Pro". This will likely be the new standard for robot vacuums in the future (probably within 1 year).

Dreame X50 has a double brush design with anti tangle properties, so they can easily make one that does not have the hair tangling issues. Personally, I'd wait another generation because they are now experimenting with roller mop designs like the ones found in Eufy S1 Pro in the form of "Narwal Free" that was announced. Dreame and Roborock will probably have ones announced before the end of the year.

I'm just trying to get my roborock to keep from eating every electrical cable in sight. It's like a damn puppy in teething mode. No matter how clear the space is, if there's one damn cable on the floor, it will hump that damn thing for half and hour and rip off it's mop pads.
