Thomas Huijsmans they usually do it because they are having a bad day and someone left their bike in a bad place. Amsterdam has so many bikes so it's pretty frustrating when some people are careless enough to clog up the path with them. And the more canal bikes there are, the easier it is to just start throwing your old bikes away in the water.
