Ah, thanks for your support, and glad you remember Lightning. It still exists but doesn't run anymore. Now Mako is the new robot. On Mech Mania in December I believe on the UK Mech+ channel (subscription). Having fun for sure.

Looking forward to Mech Mania, even if it’s a sportsmanship based event (without the spinners) it’s still a championship regardless. I’m grateful that Mech Plus are attempting at making the show themselves.

Thanks for your comment. For me the spinners are the most unskillful in terms of driving skill. You just wait for the robots to meet, especially with full body spinners. But they are great for destruction is that's your thing. For me I prefer controlled driver aggression, and this competition is more about that. Horses for courses as they say.

@ Having grownup with RW, I love spinners but I do prefer to watch driving battles. I agree with that it highlights the skill of driving, particularly with fast paced fights.

@@smithyblue Yes I am hoping Mako will literally be up to speed and putting on an even better show this weekend. You'll have to watch Mech Mania to find out why.
