This video gave me so much joy. Spy herring is so cute and I was cheering Spy Bald Eagle! Spy Bald Eagle! Seeing so many scoter ducks together was insane and my favorite sea lions make an appearance too! I'm glad the herrings have so many young to compensate for just how much of them have to die to the predators 😭

It's usually better not to think too hard about that. These videos are fun and interesting but usually the amount of footage collected by the spy animal is miniscule and the footage shot by people or other robot makes up the majority. After all, someone is there filming the spybot. There's no way that plastic fish could keep up with the herring.

Very good question. Shows attention to detail and critical thinking. As the other comment explains, these videos are highly produced and edited. I was just wondering how many days, or better weeks, of filming it took to get the footage they packed together in a short and compelling narrative.
