the story of The Sentinels is actually better than the original series. if you read the novels and the comics, you'll realise that many many characters from all 3 generations are in the Sentinels. not just that we also get learn more about the lore of protoculture, the relationship between the invid and the masters. the robotech expeditionary force (REF) is very similar to the expeditionary campaign of the Allied forces during ww2 where each country is liberated slowly. the biggest difference is in the Sentinels we have an enemy (TR Edwards) within the robotech forces and it really makes it interesting. to be honest, it's such a shame that we never get to see The Sentinels made for TV :-( kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqiad2Nsmdd9e9k&ab_channel=xXArakamiXx
