What sort of robot welding competition can this be if the contestant doesn't have to come up with the welding parameters, it just becomes a weld position contest Anyone capable of this should off the top of their head with a weld length and cycle time for the piece arrive at suitable parameters.

Biggest 'lol no' for me was how the 'competitors' put their face literally against the weld piece and started to hand-jog the robot. Like m89 what r u doing, you *never* make paths for welding robots by hand- You have CAD programs that do point-to-point welding and milling planning far better than you could ever hope to do by hand. What's 'difficult' in welding with robot beside the whole theory of proper welding is to account for part malformities and non-uniform parts to have the robot adjust its speed, angle, motion and weld length to account for changes on the fly based off weld current, welding voltage shift and machine vision results. That's raw coding expertise, not 'cross the checkbox' quizzes and hand-jogging.

V R N NEED OF saw process welding advise to weld 17 TO 20 TH -SINGLE BEVEL- PIPE DIA 24 Inch and 30 Inch - long 40 - 60 feet - CS APL 5L GR X 42 . Proposed welding time duration is only 1 Hr for both the joints and 100 % RT is applicable.

Hello to anyone that knows how to program a Denso 6 axis tig welder? We over here are having a hard time trying to create a finish weld on medical supply equipment. What we have is 1/2 s.s.rod with a 3/8 s.s. rod that threads into the 1/2, then weld it. the problem is the exit weld at the very end of it. Is it possible to get the exit weld to look like the beginning? So no finish work is necessary? Besides buffing and polishing of course. Thank you to anyone that can help. We also may be interested in hiring to demonstrate. John
