If you have an Arduino Board, a DC motor, a Motor Shield, and a potentiometer, then try to implement a PID controller with PWM to do a position Control. If you want to do something more advanced, try to build a 2 wheel self balancing robot

I'm gonna tell u the truth, as a former mech engineering major switching to computer eng you should know this. 1.- mechanical engineers do not cover much or any coding aspect of the robot, even if you learn C, you will not use it, because there is someone else who does it better. (companies work with a team of engineers) 2.- most industries will hire you to do just "mechanical engineering" stuff which is designing the physical parts (the body, the materials,) why? they need to know if the robot will be able to do this and that or if it will break if you apply to much force or heat in certain areas. so that is your job, basically applied physics. if you are passionate about robotics and electronics, maybe a computer/electrical engineering major is better for you, or a software engineering major. but this is just my opinion. when people say "mechanical enginnering" is the most versatile enginnering degree, it does not mean that you can do and work as anything, it means that you can work anywhere. physical bodies and mechanics are included in almost everything that is why it is called versitle, you can work in robotics, bioengineering, aerospace and etc, but doing the same stuff, designing physical parts, understanding thermodynamics etc. it's an amazing major, and i was doing really good until now, i even got to work in some robotics researches as a mechanical engineer, but it is not for me, it is not what i want to do when it comes to robotics. KEEP IN MIND!! i did not complete my major in mech engineering, but this is what i can see in my future taking mech engineering courses. and you can still work in anything you want with any enginnering major, companies will hire you as long as you know the stuff. but ill say it again, if you passion is programming the robot, circuits and etc, mechanical engineering will only teach you about the physical part. some extra notes: tbh no enginneng major witll teach you everything you need to know, it will just guide you through the basics and then you have to learn own your own in order to do what you want. mechanical: body, steel, gears electrical: circuits cs/software eng: the programming i chose computer because is a combination between electrical and CS, i wanted to do software but is not available at my school, but computer engineers can also become software engineers so all good. btw i i made any grammatical mistake, im writing this at 4am, i just decided i want to switch majors and if you are doing mechanical eng for robotics, maybe you should switch as well.

As a mechanical engineer to become full robotics engineer you need to have Pro knowledge in mathematics and electronics(logic gates), basic knowledge in mechanical and electricals principles and if you want to be multiskilled then softwares knowledge will make you unbeatable robotics engineer. But this knowledge also" CANNOT LAST LONG" one more new technology which is leading Now is Quantum mechanics . In another 6- 8 years it will become versatile. Although the technology increases but it's not beyond the Pro knowledge of mathematics . Which I felt bored in learning times and now I regret that mistake.

@@RobotixwithSina WOW!, Sir I have to say you're really such a modest person your video was very nice. I study mechanical engineering I have a problem I wish you can help me. the thing is I'm in my last year of university and I kinda feel exhausted; for example I feel I don't like studying, CAD modeling and Mechanical analysis as much as before and I began to start saying what if I studied Computer engineering or EE. These bad feelings started since beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. In general my interests are robotics and mechatronics because they are multidisciplinary but my friends say it's gonna be a jack of all trades and master of none but I don't think so. I'm afraid of the day that I go to work as mechanical engineer and not liking it. I wanna love my work like every human being. what surprises me is that I was a TA in dynamics one year ago and I liked it but now I'm not sure. Sorry for my English, I'm working on it.

@@mohammadhoseingheshlaghi6209 : I thinks these are all right questions you are asking yourself. I used to be a Robotics Mech Eng and I transitioned to Robotics Software Eng 1 year and half ago. now I truly enjoy my work as I'm doing a lot of Math, Algorithm, and Computer science stuff. Math is what I loved from when I was a child. It's never late, you can always switch. Good things is for Rob SW Eng, there are a tone of resources online that you can use to teach yourself. Contact me if you want to become a Rob Eng or a Mech Eng. I'll be happy to be your mentor. your English is great by the way

you can maybe for your personal projects, but SolidWorks is what almost all robotics companies use.
@viniciusfsantos2199
@viniciusfsantos2199 3 жыл бұрын
@@RobotixwithSina But don't you think it's just because SolidWorks was the "only" option they had? I say this because they are very similar and practically have the same tools, and I also see some companies today asking for one or the other. I usually see people who sell the SolidWorks course saying that you have to learn it, but on further reflection, do you still stand for that position? I am learning both, but I prefer autodesk, so I would like to know if the labor market is inflexible or if there is a chance that autodesk will gain more and more space in it.
