I just received this kit and am very excited to start making progress, but I'm already stumped on setting the password! I don't quite understand the instructions. Any tips would be appreciated!

Find the password you want to set from the list of manuals. If you want to set the password 008, it will be the following. P1 = 5, P2 = 3, P3 = 8 And, the designated number is applied to each P parts.

@@KS0000000 Yeah, this is not helpful. I followed the password setting instructions carefully, wrote down both sets of numbers but when I had put the locking mechanism together, I managed to get it to operate but with 3 completely different numbers! And I cant get it to 'lock' again, the dial won't move now

It's okay, I worked it out by taking the top off the locking mechanism and watching what it was doing.

KS0000000 For eg how do you change p2 or c2 without changing p1 or c1

We struggled with the decoder a little, not getting matching results to the instructions. But we just needed to flip it over and it lined up. I just spun A around until the numbers on the 2 cogs match with what I saw in the manual then secured it together.

I just completed this and everything works fine except for the locking mechanism. I solved it as soon as I put it on the base, and it refused to lock again. Please help.

It bugs me your dial spins so freely. Mine is stuck in the open position. It was working until the latch got snug in position

This happened to me as well. Have you found a solution?

@@rameysmit2812 I used pliers to gently pull on the locking teeth part while also slowly turning the dial to raise the teeth. After that happened I was able to turn the dial. But still to make sure I don't wear it out I put the combo at just a point where I need to being turn it and it will unlock and lock easily.
