Robotix was created by Learning Curve and produced by Milton Bradley from 1985 to 2002 and later was temporarily sold by Radio Shack. Recently they were making new ones under the site Robotix and Things, but that went out of business in 2019. Now you can buy new sets from roboticrice.com/kits-and-parts as the new official owners of the company!!! Join the Revive Great Lost Media Discord! / discord

Robotix fully length main theme lyrics written by Ford and Kinder and combined them by Vaughn S. Baskin: "Who puts the future in your hands?" "Robotix! (ROBOTIX!)" "Your own creation to command?" "Robotix! (ROBOTIX!)" "Who lets to use imagination to make any configuration? Who let you build fighting creatures, WILDER THAN A MOVIE FEATURE?!" "ROBOTIX!" "Robotix!" "YOU CREATE THEM IS TO CONTROL THEM!" "Who puts the future in your hands?" "Robotix! (ROBOTIX!)" "Your own robots at your demand?" "Robotix! (ROBOTIX!)" "Who gives you robots to command?" "Robotix! (ROBOTIX!)"

@@babbelballetje Ya, but typical of me, I thought almost everything coming out now looked dull compared to cool vintage stuff, and since I loved the show I felt I had to get one, and I do have a few motors hooked up, so it is really cool to at least get to see one of these in action! I won the ebay bid for Argus at like 1 cent, not even joking, it was 15 dollars shipping, but it was kinda hilarious that I found it that cheap and got to at least experience something cool and vintage for less than a few hundred or thousand dollars, really though, most stuff I like has ridiculous prices now.

Those sets were prototyped, and artwork was illustrated for packaging, but the animated cartoon never took off. The line was rebranded as “learning toys.”

Anyone here know how to prevent cracking in these sets? Like is there some kind of fluid that you can apply to prevent damage? I have Argus, but he is only put together enough to resemble his show appearance because the plastic started to crack and I wanted to make sure it didn't get ruined.
@chrisandkatrinamoreau4849
@chrisandkatrinamoreau4849 Жыл бұрын
The plastic was never any good. They all crack and it only gets worse with age. I've heard someone call it bad plasticizer content in the plastic they were made of. The newer stuff made after 1998 is ok.

What setup did you use to convert VHS to digital?
@DragonClaw-eg6nj
@DragonClaw-eg6nj Жыл бұрын
Actually, these are other people's videos, I just downloaded them and compiled them for documentation. I do however have a VHS to MP4 device. I would have to bring out junk from an old PC to re-find out what the name of it was though. I remember it was a disc with a program and it had the yellow and white plugs that ended in a USB port, so what was on the VHS got recorded from the VHS player to the computer.

Why would anybody in their right mind buy these instead of transformers ???
@DragonClaw-eg6nj
@DragonClaw-eg6nj 2 жыл бұрын
Well, I did at first, my first experiences with Transformers was the live action movies other than one early toy I had since childhood. The movies didn't really do it for me, I liked the games based off of them and the toys, but they were a struggle to transform and felt cheap enough to easily break. I saw the Robotix animated movie and loved it and I was more of a builder because I liked Bionicle first, but also the motorized parts made Robotix seem cooler in some ways to other toys like that. I also loved how a lot of them were based off of reptiles like snakes and dinosaurs (my favorite kinds of creatures) and in my case it just took a long time to finally see the g1 Transformers, when I did, my first ones were Grimlock and Tryptocon. I didn't initially realize it also had reptile characters.

Toys like these were great because you could build whatever you wanted with them. Transformers cartoons were great, but the toys were just so-so. I had a few, the only one I really liked was Soundwave and his "cassette tape" robots that he could eject out of him.
