1. Various of robot doing stretching exercises
2. Various of robot picking up objects from table
3. Various of quadruped robot moving on the floor and climbing up and down staircases
4. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Qian Xiaoyu, Market Director, Hangzhou Deep Robotics Co.:
“Previously, the motion model of robots was pre-written. Now we are using massive amounts of data to conduct artificial intelligence training on the robots, which has fundamentally changed their motion patterns, especially their flexibility and bionics. So we can see that it is becoming more and more like a real, living thing.”
5. Various of exhibition venue of the World AI Conference and crowds
6. Wide of booth of 'Kepler Robot'
7. Tilt-up of robot moving forward with the assistance of staff
8. Close and tilt down of robot
9. Close of Debo Hu and his robot
10. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Debo Hu, CEO of Shanghai Kepler Exploration Robot Co.:
“We conduct embodied intelligence training based on its different operation scenarios, hoping to enable it to independently complete its work in these scenarios. At the same time, our robot also has a certain degree of scalability. By connecting to large models in the cloud, it can achieve universal and generalized human-machine interaction. Overall, in a specific environment, it will be able to complete tasks independently and we will constantly expand its skills.”
11. Wide of the booth of 'Droid Robot'
12. Various of a robotic woman’s face copying expressions of person
13. Various of robot walking
14. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Mou Haiming, Chief Technology Officer, Shanghai Droid Robot Co.:
“The large models of artificial intelligence need a terminal, a body, to express its rich internal feelings, this is why the concept of embodied intelligence is so popular today. The large models and AI cannot just keep themselves on servers and computers. They need to be delivered to practical scenarios. Currently, the most common scenarios are smartphones and electric vehicles, the biped humanoid robot will be the best next-generation carrier. Therefore everyone is keen on developing embodied intelligence technologies and biped humanoid robots.”
15. Various of crowd at Tesla’s booth
16. Various of Tesla’s second-generation industry robot 'Optimus' on display
17. Visitors taking photos
18. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Debo Hu, CEO of Shanghai Kepler Exploration Robot Co.:
“So far we have not been impacted much. We are using Nvidia’s robotic chip Oran which is not in the scope of prohibition. In the future, it seems that the evolved chips for robots and algorithms should not be in the scope of prohibition, too. We are using some large models whose developers are more impacted by the prohibition. Of course, China has alternative schemes in this area. So for us, the impact (of high-tech prohibition) is indirect, and, of course, we are looking into alternative options of domestic products on the AI algorithm.”
19. Various of robot picking objects
