Rob, I’ve watched all of your Christmas reactions and I need to compliment you on the way you approach your presentations! I, as a musician, agree that the continuity of the featured songs are of utmost importance in presenting a reaction! You do this sooo well! Your reaction to “The Prayer” was exactly the same as mine! Mitch slayed me at the top! Scott coming in with his semi-operatic baritone was such a surprise-and in Italian yet! This arrangement SHOULD be a Grammy winner! If you have a chance to watch the little documentary on the making of the “Evergreen” recording (done in just two weeks!) it is so insightful into PTX’s process of arranging. I haven’t seen anyone mention this yet but this song actually inspired them to write Run to You back in the day. Hence the same vibe. The group has been a fan of this song since the Sing Off days and just finally got around to doing their own cover of it. If you listen to the album version there’s actually another verse in the beginning that they didn’t sing here.

Mr. Rob, this is just another example that shows the power of this group alone. We all love the big production numbers they do but songs such as this and " Mary Did You Know" show that autotune is needed for them to prove that they have pure talent. A perfect case in point, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" (Grammy winner) has been described as "a song with no words done by a group with no instruments but their voices."
