When I saw this in the theater and the credits stopped rolling, I sat in silence and contemplated the fact that the entire Star Wars saga at that moment, literally spanned my entire life! I was born in 1977 and was in my mother's tummy when she went to see the original Star Wars in the theater!

Good to know another fan from the womb. Same here. I was born to be Star Wars fan. Mom told me how I started doing flips when the opening theme kicks in. The day I was born the #1 song in U.S. was “Cantina theme” from Star Wars. MTFBWY Always

according to the novels, the song was titled "mad about me", i believe by the max reebo band. (but the cantina song was played by an all bith (that's the species) band, my memory might be a bit confused.). i own a copy of most (95% or so) of the stars novels ever published, up until disney retconned them all and made them "legends".i used to reread them every year or two, but since disney did that, i haven't read a single one, nor have i bought any of the new novels. oh, and those instruments that look like clarinets are called "slitherhorns."@@jgant5063

I'm a bit younger but watched the OT as a kid all the time. I've been a fan ever since and it was a surreal moment seeing this in the theatre. There was a guy sitting in the same row, probably in his 60's, who teared up at the ending. I talked to him briefly when heading out and he had seen every SW movie the day they came out (this was his second time seeing RoS). Felt cool to hear that and see how much these movies impact people.

My oldest sister was a big Star Wars fan and she is the one who introduced me to the movies with Return of The Jedi when I was 6. She passed from cancer at age 52 a few months before this movie came out. I am an introvert with extreme social anxiety, but I forced myself out of my comfort zone and went alone to the movies to see this. I just kept thinking to myself how much my sister would've loved this one if she had seen it

The Jedi who spoke to REY were, in order, and what they said to her, was: OBi-Wan Kenobi (""These are your final steps, Rey. Rise and take them... Rey... Rise."), Anakin Skywalker ("Rey... Let it lift you."), Ahsoka Tano, who just says Rey's name... and its a little weird, because Ahsoka is still alive at the end of Episode 9, Kanan Jarus ("Rey... @@User87_a number of people agree with this original comment and love this trilogy. Look at the number of the positive comments here about the movie. Yours is the first negative one I’ve seen after the first 30 comments I read. And before we all get accused of “not really understanding Star Wars,” I was born in 1977, been watching the movies since I was two years old, and saw ROTJ in the theater, plus all the shows and movies and cartoons since, plus some books and comics, and i think the sequels are great. When people realize that these three trilogies are meant as generational sagas where the heroes of one trilogy must step aside and pass the baton to the next, just like the prequel heroes do in the original trilogy, and then the original trilogy heroes do in the sequels, it makes better sense. Every single supposed weakness in the sequels can be shown in the original trilogy when watched after the prequels in chronological order. Imagine people watching the movies these days in chronological order (as George Lucas has said they are meant to be seen), and they get to the original trilogy and ask questions like: why is the emperor not in episode 4? Why is bail Organa never shown on screen? Why is Alderaan never shown before it’s blowed up? Why is bail Organa killed off screen? Why don’t bail, Obi Wan, and Yoda get even one scene together with them all alive? Why isn’t Yoda in Episode 4? Why does Obi Wan die in the first movie of the new trilogy? Why are Obi Wan and Yoda hiding out on these remote planets while the galaxy has gone to trash and the empire has killed millions of people and enslaved even more and so many Jedi have been hunted down and killed? The list goes on and on. And don’t say it’s because the original trilogy came out first. Lucas knows that and could have done more in the prequels to set up those “deficiencies” better. The sequels do the same things the originals do because they are both generational trilogies to pass their respective batons after the prequels. The prequels were largely maligned when they first came out and for a number of years after, with only revenge of the Sith being favored and with the clone wars cartoons having to fill in a lot of the untold story of the prequels, filling in unanswered questions to the prequels, and making the prequel trilogy better in light of it, and it was only when all the kids who grew up liking the prequels got old enough to speak that now the movies are more celebrated (ROTS still favored of course). One day the same will most likely happen with the sequels, if history repeats itself. Looking at the comments here, more average folks and newer viewers that don’t come with baggage enjoy the sequels more than the internet noise would lead people to believe.

And rogue one is often on most people’s top 3 Star Wars movie list. Andor is fantastic. Mando is fantastic. I’ve enjoyed Obi Wan Series and boba Fett as well. Solo Movie is a fun Star Wars heist movie and han origin story, similar to the original marvel Star Wars comics that came out right after episode 4 in the late 70s. It took all these years for Solo to come out and give fans of those original comics a fun romp through the Star Wars universe that wasn’t so heavily ties to the skywalker saga (before empire strikes back came out with Vader revealing Luke’s parentage and we knew that would even be a thing).

Hello. Not sure who is doing the editing for your videos, but there are long stretches where we don’t see or hear what is happening. For example, the scene with Zori Bliss was completely obscured and silent. Can you please ask your editor to leave at least enough picture or sound so that we can follow along?

At the end when everyone came to help out did you notice wedge? He was an all three original trilogy movies even though he didn't play a huge part he was one of the main Rebel Pilots and the original Three and he came back to help out in the end for this one. It was cool how the voices of Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Leia, Mace Windu, and Ahsoka Tano could all be heard telling Ray to rise. You don't know much about Ahsoka Tano but she's an incredible character she was the Padawan of Anakin. I highly recommend Rogue one, it was an incredible movie. You should also watch the Solo movie, it gets a bad rap but I thought it was very good

There were rumors that Jannah (the woman Finn meets on Endor’s moon) was Lando’s daughter, kidnapped when she was a small child by the First Order, however, the novelization of Rise of Skywalker indicated that wasn’t the case. Never know though, could get retconned.

19:20 - The only Jedi to have ever used any form of "electrical pulse" power was Yoda, I believe, when he was fighting against Darth Sidious in Ep. III: Revenge of the Sith. It was the fight scene between them in the Senate chambers. They were matching each other with that power, and then Yoda said that they will have see who was the better swordsman with the lightsaber.

@maruskaehrensdorfer Why do you say that? It's a common dark side ability. We also see Dooku and Snoke use it and that's just in the films. It's also a power in every video game where you have dark side powers.
@maruskaehrensdorfer
@maruskaehrensdorfer Жыл бұрын
@@xDarthSTYXx it's just my opinion, which doesn't mean that I'm right. I just feel that although there was some temptation for Rey to go over to the dark side, she never really came close enough to it, so (to me) it would be weird for Rey (who is basically a Jedi) to have such a dark side ability, unless she has the ability because of her Palpatine (dark side) bloodline. Just my humble opinion.

I will always say these are my favorite videos of yours without question, since you had a blast getting to know the story, the characters, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING AND you got to experience it on your own terms You ignored all the negative comments and reviews that came with the prequels and sequels with dignity and I'm so proud of you two on that regard A true fan will accept anything that comes with the content, good OR bad Star Wars has flaws, yes but that's what makes it fun and you guys showed it all nine movies and I thank you for the journey you shared with us P.S. I was born in 1977, the year the original was released. There was SO MUCH dispute about this movie that I didnt watch it for years, but am so glad I didnt listen to everyone else, because I liked it. Im not a hard care lore fan like some people so I didnt have a huge problem with the overall plot of Palpatine returning since the known knowledge of Sith powers like that existing. Yoda could do the electricity with his fingers too.

@urthboundmisfit Жыл бұрын
I'll tell you a little secret. The fanboys screaming about Palpatine coming back weren't in on the lore. Remember the clones? Palpatine didn't just want that tech to create an army. That's how he came back. That's where Snoke came from too -- Snoke's kind of like Palpatine's son. Rey's father was also a clone of Palpatine but a not very successful one. And you know how Palpatine wanted to send his life force into Rey and take her over? He'd already done that. That's the body he was in when Rey met him in this movie. It's a Sith skill. I'm guessing he learned it from Darth Plagueis, his own master. Remember him telling Anakin about that guy learning how to conquer death? There were clues all through this and the neckbeards just weren't paying attention.

@@urthboundmisfit I admittedly didn't pay that close attention to everything hut it wasn't incomprehensible that Palpatine would return, which seemed to be most of the criticism seemed to be about. Don't know how many of Tom Hanks' early comedy movies you guys have seen, but if you haven't watched any of them (besides BIG), then you MUST! The following are essential Tom Hanks comedy films: "Bachelor Party" (1984) "The Money Pit" (1986) "The Man With One Red Shoe" (1985) "Splash" (1984) These movies were all before Tom Hanks went all "serious" on us, and started to only do mostly dramatic films. His origins were in comedy with his beginnings on the short lived, but classic cult TV comedy, "Bosom Buddies" (1980-1982).

When you rewatch Star Wars, recognize what would have been the greatest perhaps twist in Star Wars (even better than Darth Vader being Luke's father), Jar Jar Binks being the TRUE Phantom Menace. It's sad that Lucas chose to pull out of that idea, which would have REDEEMED the character of Jar Jar. Now all we can do is see the powerful Sith master in his glory in The Phantom Menace movie ❤
