I have no idea if you read all of our comments, especially this far away from the moment you dropped it, but I soooo hope you read this one. I met my husband in 81, and INXS became a huge part of our love story. We LOVE to dance and their music hit us both in the solar plexus! We were fortunate to see them twice. Once before marriage and children and then once as our first “date” after our son was born. I was a teacher (like you!) and was driving home from work when the radio announced Michael Hutchinson’s death. I literally had to pull over because I began to cry. When I got home we played all their albums, one after the other dancing and reliving so many moments of our young life together. Their music was and continues to be a backdrop to our 40 year love story. I’m so glad you love them!!!! Great music transcends generations. Hold on to the love and passion you have for each other and music. It’s my hope for you that you are still feeling all that is good between you for the next 40 years!

@@snikkerr1949 He almost certainly didn’t hang himself during some sado-sexual practice. That exact form of “suicide” has been the end of many a celebrity especially in the music and movie world. He was taken out with a satanic ritual death. There were witnesses in the next hotel room to Hutchence who clearly heard two men arguing loudly from his room just before he was found dead…it never made it to court or the media (shocking I know), but those witness statements are out there. I highly recommend you watch something from their Live Baby Live concert at Wembley stadium in London 1991 (with over 70,000 people in attendance.) ‘What You Need’ would be a good choice: and watching it live shows just how much charisma Michael had, how much the fans loved-love-them, still, after Michaels untimely death, and just how awesome these guys were live as well as in the studio. You were asking about the guy in the glasses Kirk Pengilly- he’s one of the three members who aren’t actual brothers. Lead guitarist Tim, keyboardist/guitarist/harmonica Andrew, and youngest brother drummer John are the Farriss brothers. Gary Beers is on bass. (Andrew and lead singer Michael Hutchence were the main writers.) The band had been together since school in the 70s; it just really wasn’t possible for them to go on with someone besides Michael as lead singer. They have performed over the years with different singers but have never stuck to one and continued on as they did before Michael’s death.

INXS is one of the greatest rock bands in history. They have so many amazing hits like 'They Could Never Tear Us Apart', 'Beautiful Girl', 'Baby Don't Cry'- My personal favourite and 'Heaven Sent' which is another one my favourites. Any of these would be great to react to.

Inxs lead guitarist came into the bigfoot gas station in crothersville where I was working at years ago and ordered a bunch of coffee! There was a limo outside, couple of black Van's, a tour bus! It was awesome and a privilege!

I feel so fortunate I got to see INXS on that tour on my birthday. I’ll never forget the full-tilt energy they brought. Who needs the birthday song when you can rock to New Sensation?

Good choice for a new favorite band! Here's some of their biggest hits. "Suicide Blonde", "Disappear", "Need You Tonight", "Devil Inside", "Not Enough Time", "What You Need", "Beautiful Girl", "New Sensation", "Bitter Tears", "Never Tear Us Apart"... And one last one: "The Stairs (Live from Wembley 1991)"

I just relisted to The Stairs.....WOW. What a deep song, the lyrics have so much meaning for our times now. It reminds me of U2 song. Well Michael Hutchence and Bono were good friends .

I used to snowboard a lot to INXS on my headphones. When Disappear came on while shredding up the mountain I felt like a god. Perfectly fitting the fun.

Pleeease add Dont Change to your list. It’s the first song I ever heard by them-it’s impossible not to dance to it, and the lyrics are so positive and perfect

Michael Hutchence (the lead singer) passed away in 1997. INXS hasn't been on tour in years. It is hard to find a spark like Michael Hutchence.

They did still tour but without Michael Hutchence they just weren't the same. He took his own life quite a long time ago. Never tear us apart Need You Tonight 2 songs that HAVE to be heard, appreciated and reacted to!!

One of their best songs is "Good Times", from the "Lost Boys" soundtrack. It rarely got any radio play, but it truly is a hidden gem.

INXS was a favorite of my college years. I could literally put this CD on and play from beginning to end without a pause. Most of the songs flow both musically and logically from one to the next. This video was considered absolutely groundbreaking at the time. All of their videos were visually stunning. Michael Hutchence's death remains such a shock

It’s great to listen to each album top to bottom from their first in 1980 (INXS) to their last in 1997 (Elegantly Wasted) and see how they changed/evolved And even listening to their post Michael work like their 2005 album (Switch)
