Please do "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding. One of the greatest builds in a song ever! He goes from low and slow to being so riled up it's almost like he is speaking in tongues by the end of it. Absolutely amazing

One of my most FAVORITE songs from the 6os. You could almost feel the grease on the floor with this SCORCHER!! Put your flat feet on the ground……..and dance!

This song reminds me of another movie that you should watch on your movie reaction channel. The Committments (1991) features this song and is about a fictional blues / soul band in Ireland. It is full of great musical performances and a lot of "drama" that happens within the local, small-time music scene. Comical, though not a comedy per se, and very worth the watch.

I'm sure it's been said already, but this reminds me of an old movie about music called The Commitments. I remember them really liking Wilson Pickett in the film. It's been a while since I've watched it, but you should check it out if you want to appreciate a movie about great music.

Fun fact, there is a movie called “The Commitments” it came out in 1991, it’s about a group of young adults in Dublin, Ireland who play music. The manager of the band loves soul music so they cover soul songs, they do a cover of this in the movie, it’s fantastic. The actors in the movie also played and sang all the songs. It’s really interesting seeing the Irish so soul, one of my favorite movies. I think y’all would get a kick out of it.

Sooo silly story lol: so as a kid my tricycle’s name was Sally and for way too long I knew this song as “Sally’s song” that I’d demand my grownups play when I zoomed around on my said tricycle lol

Love Wilson Pickett's classic soul sound. For your movie channel, you might enjoy watching "The Commitments" about an unemployed Irish guy who puts together a soul band. Mustang Sally is one of the songs featured in it. :o)

Oh! I have the perfect movie suggestion for you guys: The Commitments It’s about a group of working class kids in Dublin, Ireland and they create a soul music band. They do AMAZING covers of songs including Mustang Sally and Try a Little Tenderness. I guarantee you will LOVE the movie and music. 💜

I'm glad you got to hear this classic! So much soul! There are several things that I'd like to suggest. First, to know just how talented the Beatles were, watch their movies "A Hard Days Night" and "Help!" They could sing, act, and do comedy. Second, watch "The Homewood Sessions with Leon Russell". That's where you heard "A song for you". It gives a lot of background into Leon, and you can tell that he truly loved people. Finally, the perfect group for Female Friday is the "MonaLisa Twins. They are real twins from Austria that started very young by covering Beatles songs and have gone on to cover other classics from the 60's. They moved to England and have played at the Cavern Club where the Beatles played. My favorites are: "You can't do that", "Drive my Car" (Beatles songs) or "Starman" (a David Bowie song). Another great video they made when about 16 or 17 is "While my Guitar gently Weeps". Their musical ability is Amazing! They sing very well especially when you consider that English is their second language.

One of the things that I like in your channel is that you are speaking very nice and clear guys... I am Greek I understand English but not being my native language I turn on the subtitles most of the times. That is something that I never needed with you. Greetings from Athens Greece.
