The story goes …Bobby’s wife was on his case for always being in the road working . He Promised to call her just ahead of his flight home at the airport…almost boarding call, he rushed to a pay phone and some dude had the phone tied up arguing with his girl,,, meanwhile the plane was boarding. Before he went to board, he heard the dude say to his girl while angry “If you think you’re lonely now, wait until tonight”! Bobby boarded his plane and wrote the song that was one His biggest hits.
