True Fact: When Michael is singing, “Annie, are you OK?” it actually carries more meaning than just the narrator asking a question. CPR can help save a life during cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. Next: If the person appears unresponsive, CHECK for responsiveness, breathing, life-threatening bleeding or other life-threatening conditions using shout-tap-shout. Then: Kneel beside the person. Place the person on their back on a firm, flat surface. After that: Give 30 chest compressions by placing two hands centered on the chest. Next: push both hands downward at least 2 inches. Make sure to keep pressing at a 100 to 120 Beats Per Minute or BPM. Afterwards: Allow chest to return to normal position after each compression. Give 2 breaths by performing mouth to mouth resuscitation, and also to Pinch the nose shut, take a normal breath. Note: If the 1st breath does not cause the chest to rise, retilt the head and ensure a proper seal before giving the 2nd breath If the 2nd breath does not make the chest rise, an object may be blocking the airway. Michael invented and patented dancing shoes and a flooring setup that involved the shoes with specially cut grab-holes in the heals to grab specially sized bolts that were marked on the floor and electronically raised for he and his dancers to position themselves to perform that leaning stunt. Now that you know this, watch him performing in a live setting and/or on a stage and you will see them get themselves in position to do the lean and then move away to allow the bolts to be lowered back into their silos in the floor, after the lean has been completed. MJ was very clever. The BEST!!!

I knew an old man in a nursing home, yes, a NURSING HOME, that I worked at back in the 80's to early 90's, he had been a dancer "back in the day" we asked him if he knew about MJ's moonwalk - and he did, he was still a pretty sharp old man, anyway we asked him if he could do it and he said that it's basically an old "step-slide" that all good dancers could do "back in the day" we asked him if he could do it, and he kind of laughed and said and "well now Michael has put his own spin on it but I can do something a lot like it" and we were like "Show us, come on" and well, we were all in total shock when Lonnie (who was around 84-85 at the time) stepped off a real nice imitation of the Moonwalk. Then he said "Now, that's my way, Michael has his way, but that's my way" He then told us he knew that Michael had studied all of the old dancers like Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly and the Nicholas Brothers and other famous dancers and then took what he learned and made his own style, took it farther and that's what made Michael so good. So in answer to Jordan's question - it's Michael's variation and improvement of the old "step-slide"

Eddie was uncredited for that solo because he didn't care about getting paid for it. Anyone that receives song-writing credit for a song gets royalties for that song. He didn't want them. He did it for free as a favor to Quincy Jones. And he did it BECAUSE, at the time, a lot of African-American artists were not getting the exposure on MTV that white artists were getting (yes, even MJ). So they figured that getting a white guy (and not just any white guy, but freakin' EDDIE VAN HALEN) to play on the song would get it more airtime. FUN FACT: Eddie's solo in "Beat It" is only 20 seconds long, but it took like a half hour to record. The ‘Lean’ was done with special shoes where the heel hooked into a peg on the floor as an anchor point. Some people say it was MJ himself that designed the shoe and peg system. The physical strength needed to do that move is incredible! MJ and those dancers must have been fit to an epic standard as they would have needed to do that several times to get all the camera angles. In my opinion MJ’s private life was exactly that, Private!

There are no entertainers like him, or Prince or Madonna anymore, but it is really hard to describe how big a star MJ was in the 80s. That level of fame can never be achieved again now because of the internet and how much access we have to celebrity lives. Back then we didn't. The fact that his Father took most of the money, shows that he sure didn’t have his kids best interest at heart, only his own bank account! The more they worked, the more HE got! I agree with you about having to dedicate your entire being to something to be the absolute best, ( as he was) but in my opinion it’s just not worth it. It is the same with ballerinas, everything you eat, every hour you sleep, every time you go outside, everything is totally controlled, literally! I promise you it’s not worth it!

I had the privilege of seeing the Jacksons rehearse for their last tour together. Backstage, I was trying to be inconspicuous when I felt what could be described as an electric charge in the air. I turned to my left, and there stood MJ. He quietly said, "Hello." I was speechless. He is missed.

You guys are really nailing it... I'm 50 and I totally admit that it's worth being older to have gotten to LITERALLY be in High School in the 80's!!! Seriously, the pop culture was the best in human history. For starters, basically everything you're seeing in the Marvel movies ALL came from the weekly comic book stuff I was buying in the 80's, and THEN it was the greatest era of movies EVER with stars like Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell, Michael Douglas, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, Steve Martin, Charlie Sheen, Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Val Kilmer, Rodney Dangerfield, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bill Murray, Clint Eastwood, Jean Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Emilio Estevez, and Billy Crystal and directors like James Cameron, Spielberg, John Hughes, Ivan Reitman, Terry Gilliam, David Lynch, The Coen Brothers, Sam Raimi, Paul Verhoeven, Tony Scott, Ridley Scott, Brian De Palma, Martin Scorcese, John Carpenter, Richard Donner, John McTiernan, and Oliver Stone either starting out or in the peak of their primes, and THEN we had SO MANY musicians and bands starting peaking that it hurts my brain to try and name then all, but here's some... Metallica, Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, Poison, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, U2, The Cure, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, The Cars, Duran Duran, Journey, AC/DC, Chicago, Queen, Rod Stewart, RUN DMC, The Beastie Boys, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Cinderella, Ozzy Osbourne, Ratt, Queenryche, Slayer, Scorpions, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, Pantera, Sepultura, Robert Palmer, KISS, Def Leppard, Anthrax, Testament, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Dokken, Winger, Tesla, and lets round it off with Aerosmith starting a comeback the lasted well into the 90's!!!! Just sayin', YEAH... it was G-damn AWESOME!!!

@@Diajinn bout to be 38 and I agree 80s and 90s was where it was at and if wanna leave music theres still the attitude era of wwe wrestling, the TV shows and cartoons of those times, the only thing questionable was probably the fashion lol. But all the major sports at time were insain. And futbol/soccer included my favorite brazil team of all time came from the 90s. Oh and the intro of mma ufc too

Watching your reaction reminded me what a huge impact MJ made on music & entertainment. He revolutionised dance, especially group choreography that every music video has these days it all started with MJ on Beat It. When he dropped Thriller it really was like a hugely anticipated event worldwide(yes down in New Zealand we were huge MJ fans) & seeing it the first time? I can remember being in shock, we'd never seen anything like that. That's why he was the pinnacle Entertainer of the 80's he set the benchmark so high.
