You mentioned "I Go Crazy," but you never reacted to the studio version. Believe me, it's an experience like no other. That live version doesn't do it justice. I've loved that song since I was in kindergarten, when it was on the charts.

Such a great singer, such a great song. I don’t think Paul Davis ever wrote or recorded a song I didn’t like. Later on, he had a hugely successful career as a country singer throughout the ‘80s and early ‘90s. His song with Tanya Tucker and Paul Overstreet called “I Won’t Take Less Than Your Love” is guaranteed to bring a tear to Amber’s eye, but in a good way. For more of Paul’s pop side, you should check out “‘65 Love Affair”, it’s a little more upbeat and I think you guys will enjoy it. ❤

Paul Davis was a master of late '70s pop. His very first hit, from the mid-70s, was "Ride 'Em Cowboy," a song in a more country-folk vein. Also a bit of a sad number, a song about missed chances in life.

One of my favorites of Paul Davis. This song's message resonates so much life. What a treasure in song that I never tire of hearing. Good reaction, peace folks. P.S. At another Paul Davis reaction time, you ought to check out/react to "Do Right" and/or "Superstar" [it is lyrically nothing like the Carpenters tune, and is full of cameo references of other pop/rock stars of that time]. I think y'all would get a kick out of it. Hold the fort.

If I could suggest to the both of you to give 65 Love Affair a try. It a song that charted the highest on Billboard pop charts during his career, which is saying something after he delivered some classic like the I Go Crazy, Cool Nights and Sweet Life. It's a change of pace song compare to his others. You won't regret it. It's a fun song and hopefully you guys will like it. BTW it's my first time commenting here and I just want to say that you guys are killing it, I'm a little late to the party and don't know what world that I was living in but better late than never. Discovered you two about a month ago but I have been playing catch up from what I've missed from the last two years.
