Some more great Sheryl Crow song include "My Favorite Mistake," "Light in Your Eyes," "The First Cut Is the Deepest," "Soak Up the Sun," "There Goes the Neighborhood," "A Change Would Do You Good," and "C'mon C'mon." She also has often performed with Stevie Nicks, including the song "Sorcerer" After Christine McVie retired from Fleetwood Mac (she came back many years later), Sheryl came very close at one point to joining that band.

Her cover of "The First Cut is the Deepest" is pretty well done. You'd probably like that. Song is most commonly recalled from Rod Stewart's version, so you might want to hit that as well, although it was actually written by Cat Stevens
@davidstephens64622 жыл бұрын
Cheryl was an odd bird when she came out. To her fans, her record company, and FM radio. No one could figure out what category to put her in. Got played on country, rock, alternative and easy listening stations in time, but in the beginning they didn't want to touch her because she sounded soooo different. Truth is she had been in the business for a while. She played guitar and bass and sang backups for some pretty heavy hitting stars, in the studio and live. And once she got on the road as an opening act for some of those big names, folks started requesting her music from all those radio genres and she took off. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing her music. In the car, the mall, and even in Dr's offices. May not have been the same song because different stations picked songs that fit in their format, but that's a good thing. Across the genres she had many top 10 hits, in many different categories, and sold an a$$ load of CD's.

Definitely check out "Soak Up the Sun" before the Summer ends. "Everyday is a Winding Road" is really good too. Another band and/or artist that you haven't hit yet is Paul Westerberg (solo) and with The Replacements. "Dyslexic Heart", "Love Untold", "Good Day", "Alex Chilton", and "Waiting for Somebody" just to name a few of the songs he's written. "Good Day" is a touching ballad and would fit the "Forever Young", "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" theme next time you're looking for something really heartfelt.
