I heard an interview with a man who was close to him. He was his producer or something, I think. The interviewer asked for something about Freddy that most people don’t know. Without hesitation, the man replied, “He was very shy.” The interviewer was stunned. The man went on to explain that Freddy was always seen in public with his entourage: his band, close friends, etc. He could not appear without them so he would not. They gave him the courage he needed.

Can’t believe I’m this early. Queen was magnificent. I was fortunate enough to see them twice (‘83 & ‘84). Freddy is the greatest performer ever. From the moment he walked onto stage with the band to the moment they stepped off for good he had total control of the audience.
