Bob Seger tells the best stories in his songs. Bob also has the gravelly voice. I saw him in concert in Chicago and his mother loved Kenny Rogers so he sang it for her. Dolly and Kenny do a great job on this song.

You've technically seen Sheena twice...when you did Prince's "U Got the Look", she was the sassy, sexy woman he was singing with. Prince actually wrote some songs for her to do solo as well. "Strut" and "Sugar Walls" were both big hits of hers.

i think she suffered from hopping from genre to genre. people didnt know where she fitted. she started off in UK being very ordinary girl next door. became famous via a UK tv documentary. suddenly she was being some Prince vixen & talking about her sugar walls! It was a huge jump & seemed a bit forced.

Yes, her album from 2000, Fabulous, was her last new studio album. It was finally released in the US as a digital album in recent years. Before, it was only available as an import CD. I love her duet with Prince, "Arms of Orion". They co-wrote the song together. Some of my favorite songs of hers, were co-written by her: Like "Flower in the Rain" and "Love Will Make You Wise". Sheena also sang the theme song, "Carry a Dream", to a Japanese anime movie on her Japanese import CD, "Home". That's another favorite of mine.

I can't believe you guys haven't heard Sheena Easton singing the James Bond theme song For Your Eyes Only! They even used her singing in the opening...gorgeous video!

Sheena Easton attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, where she trained from 1975 to 1979 as a speech and drama teacher by day, while singing with a band called "Something Else" by night at local clubs. She chose to study teaching rather than performing, because it was a course of study that would let her perfect her craft as a singer. She was spotted on a tv reality show by record producer Micky Most, and she had a few hits in the UK before taking on the US.
