As an og of this game, the hate is unreasonable, this overhaul is the best you can get, me and my friends are coming back to the game. Some of the hate you listed can easily be argued back: - Harder to place deployable: yeah you can't place everywhere, surprise surprise - Harder to survive nextbots: wtf? that scream skill issue right there. Those people probably only camping all day in desert bus and crossroads - Map feel too realistic: uhh what? i don't see anything wrong with that... Are they like those 2021 kids when they scream that they miss old roblox?? - Lots of game-breaking bugs: devs are fixing some, just be patient, it's not too obvious to find bugs you know - Nextbot warning sound is gone: "oh no, now i have to constantly focus on playing the game instead of tabbing out and discording with my friend". It just pathetic... - Private server menu is gone: ok fair hate, i miss that menu too - Quick revive is gone: Quick revive is a bug, and bug will, of course, be fixed. Devs already reducing time to revive, and even like 1 sec revive if using stethoscope, so deal with it, use stethoscope for fast revive or don't I feel bad for oster and beef, they work so hard for the overhaul, even cancelling halloween 2023 event bc the overhaul don't turn out great. i'm glad that i escape the hell that is evade discord server, the community is only good at complaining and camping on their 10 favorite maps and nowhere else. I hope the best for the devs and hoping the community can get over this update and be grateful that we got an update, instead of just another battlepass update that only there to somewhat keeping the game alive

Honestly my main issue with this update is two things, number one being that it just doesn't feel all that different. Like for two years I would've expected the game to feel brand new but it just doesn't. And number two is that it's so QUIET. There's no music playing in the background anymore, the sound design is barely there, and the emotes (or at least the ones I've tried.) don't play any audio anymore, but I won't hold the emotes against them because that's probably an issue with roblox. Regardless though the game feels empty and like nothing is going on. The nextbot warning sound wasn't just for people afking on discord, it made the game feel lively and like things were happening, and it gave seeing a nextbot some more impact.

Well about movement, the one from evade testing was close to perfected. They changed it to match legacy which is too slow for these maps since they are 3 times bigger, the strafing is worse and the bouncing is bad. Hopefully they make it match the movement from evade testing again

​@@FieryN8 True, I've played evade pre-overhaul a lot, and it's safe to say the hitboxes are actually slightly better than people percieve or think of, probably because these people only camped. I don't see anything wrong with the movement either, in fact, it feels the same if not, better. There's also the fact that you can now combine two gears such as stilts and hermes boots which make you even faster now and makes the game more enjoyable. The developers have redesigned and updated the maps, made it possible to put on two "gadgets" (Bloxy Boy + Hermes Shoes, finally I can use them together!), added more Nextbots, made Decoy cheaper, new deployable, + wonderful accessories and emote in the Event store, name tags, I just won't list everything, but it's all wonderful! I am very glad that the Overhaul update has come out, it is literally a breath of fresh air for Evade. This game just needed an update, and it took 2 years to get there. But didn't most people like it? And what has changed for them that they can hate this update for? Slightly modified physics? The size and layout of the maps? Players just need to get used to the new maps.

the evade overhaul was truly a great update; they did a fantastic job. it’s not harder at all-in fact, it’s much easier, in my opinion. however, for those with older, laggier devices, it has become much more difficult to play. the realism of the revamped maps causes some players to crash or even freeze. it is a great update, but as i mentioned, for those of us (like myself) who cannot yet afford better devices, it’s not the best experience.

4:25 i agree with this point, the overhaul came at a point where the game had gotten really stale. it was super easy, even though the game was called "evade" it took almost no effort to dodge nextbots which meant you were less evading and more just running. the overhaul came with a lot of fundamental changes which i can understand some people need to get used to first, but the game is still feels like evade, and i think the changes are overall an improvement to the game. I used to play this game all the time but havent in almost a year, every time i came back i'd be bored out of my mind and leave within a round. Since the overhaul came out though, i've been playing it regularly again, its nice to see a second-wind of one of my most played roblox games

I love this update because not only can you equip more perks, but the movement has been expanded, theres now wall running, cars, areas you need to slide/crouch into, elevators, and ladders, I like old evade, but you cannot deny that new evade is so much better.

I'd like to acknowledge that the two devs worked extremely hard on this update, and they don’t deserve any hate or harassment thrown at them, but, as someone who personally mildly dislikes the overhaul update, there are some things that I'm unsatisfied about. I have been playing since ~autumn of 2022, and at first it seemed like a nice spin on the nextbot genre. It felt fun and enjoyable, and the gameplay loop wasn’t as boring as other similar games. Over time I’ve made many friends and I'm currently level 160ish, and to me, I felt like what brought me back despite it being so simple was that it was simply an enjoyable game whilst socialising. From mid 2023 I started to almost exclusively play on VC only servers. The community was nice as well. It wasn’t like mic up, or any other generic hangout game. You could talk to someone whilst escaping nextbots, and have fun doing so. Now, since the overhaul, I feel like this is a aspect of the game they ignored. The new AI for the nextbots are too “hard” in a sense where it's annoying when you're trying just do something, such as talk to people, or tab out to switch a song, and it chases/teleports you. Even in VC servers, barely anyone talks because they are “playing” the game. Yes, I know the point of the game is to run away from nextbots, but what aspect of communication does voice chat give you if you're barely using it in game? You're unlikely to get any chances to use it to have a conversation as well, and for those saying to play social space, I would if the gamemode is actually successful, i.e. literally nobody plays social space, and most of them seems to be children under 13. This, along with the movement that I’m sure I’ll get used to, and the ui, map detail, etc. makes this essentially a worse off version of Nico’s Nextbots, apart from the fact that Evade’s more catered to a general audience, so the new UI, along with other things, feels more corporate-like. I have seen people in the discord rebutting against others that say that the update sucks with “if you dislike it then dont play”, which is a fallacy in of itself. I like the game, I want to keep on playing it, but I am trying to express genuine complaints without being sounded out by the amount of kids hating just to hate. Some aspects of the update are great, but an aspect of the game that separated Evade from the others was that it was a game that anyone could play to have an enjoyable time with friends and/or meeting new ones. Again, I have met multiple people who ended up becoming friends with through evade vc, solely because of the opportunity to be able to engage in conversation and getting to know people. I know that some of these complaints are illogical for a game based on running from nextbots, but I'd just like to state my opinions on the update. I hope I can have fun and continue meeting new people, but this is just my two cents.

I think this is a pretty good argument. No disrespect or ignorance, just giving genuine evidence of why you think it. I don't like it much, but I know I will get used to it. The communication aspect was honestly so fun because you would meet the funnies people on there. I find it a bit dry now -- not that the update itself is bad, but the best part, Imo, was communicating whilst evading. I just kind of wish the legacy mode was permanent for players who refuse to get used to a new update, because that mode will always hold a special place in my heart.

I got into evade about a year? And i began playing evade about a year before the update, and was only on it for 2 weeks or so. It was so fun, even then. Then I came back, and everything is so cool and new. It was so refreshing. Some of the new special rounds are entertaining too. I will say that it runs smoother for me, however I notice that it’s more difficult for me to pick up players now. Apart from that, I love the update, and I don’t know why there’s such a vocal audience who feels otherwise. You can see all the hard work they put into every single map and game mode.

the only thing i hate is the patch for fast revive, but its okay, the update is AWESOME! the smarter nextbots add difficulty new ui looks polished maps are INSANE nametags, skins, etc, cool! anyways heres a tip: have you ever used grappling hook and you just use it for going to camping spots? not anymore! 1st, grab your grappling hook. 2nd, go to the edge of a building, not literally but like, about a like, 30 studs away. 3, as your about to cross the edge, use your grappling hook and use it on the ledge gaining you extra momentum.

I do love Overhaul now, I just hate the bot’s behaviors that’s because the bots sometimes on purpose run into walls or other objects just to teleport to the player, even if the player isn’t in a glitch spot, and the bots when up close the bots become like Angry Munci when close to the player, I feel like I liked their old mechanics and behaviors. It was much more simpler and easier to understand. And you forgot to mention the disliked movement, like you can not bounce like in the old Evade, and when trying to emote dash/trimp that doesn’t really work very well, due to the player losing speed very fast, plus not drifting/sliding properly, and I still can not believe that Oster just had to increase the range of Angry Munci now. I mean we were once only 12 players and it spawned on us 3 Angry Munci’s so there is a lot still to be fixed I personally think that the bots can be a little bit smart, but not too smart that they suddenly become like Angry Munci when close to the player, the nextbots should drift like they used to, and they can be smart sometimes, but as mentioned not too smart that they suddenly give some players 0 chance of survival and the fact that players said in the discord to keep the broken nextbots the same in the pro servers to make them a “challenge” to the skilled players, is just sad, because those bots will just walk into objects and just teleport whenever they wish to, to the player. I hope Oster and Beef fix the issues I now addressed, and Evade will be a happy family again.❤

I think overhaul is pretty good I think the reason most don’t like it is mostly that it’s *new*, another one is macros not being as effective but it’s easier to time the jumps now and it’s very rewarding to time it for bouncing. The Halloween update was disappointing since nothing old had released and I hope they do eventually.

I'm okay with the update, the first thing that bugged me is the map vote. I have to join the game to get rid of map vote in the menu. The second thing is the lose streak. There is a glitch that made the lose streak screen stuck in my gameplay. I have to get downed by the enemy just to close it. The third thing is the compass. Some maps like sinister street and neighbourhood is make the compass not working, it always shows the objective is outside the map

In my opinion, the update is fair. Yes,the fast reviving hack was useful but now reviving is so much faster! About the ui,I think the old one was better cause for me it’s too complicated now. The nametag thing,I don’t really get the purpose of it but guess it looks pretty and isn’t harmful. I think it’s quite the opposite where he said that the game got harder,well,since they made the maps bigger the nextbots don’t chase you and for me,I barely was able to find the nextbot. To continue with the maps,they added ramps which are good for the ones they like trimping but I think that just caused it to lose the impact in trimping. You see,it was hard to trimp before and when you actually managed to trimp you’d feel proud of yourself but now it’s just something everyone can do. Overall,it’s a 5/10 for me. not bad,not good. That’s just my opinion tho,it depends on the person. I’ve noticed that after the update evade’s play rate has decreased because it was over 80k people back then whenever I checked and now it’s barely 40k.

I play on mobile, and I honestly like the new update, some might think the movement is weird, but tbh you just gotta get used to it and it’s fine :/ The only problems I have is placing deployments, I have to hit the ones I wanna place several times before it will let me, same with colas, otherwise it’s a good update!

It just automatically drinks colas whenever I hold it, and I'm on mobile, so drinking colas isn't much of a problem for me. Placing deployables isn't a problem for me either. The only thing I have an issue with there is that I struggle to equip it whenever I'm trying to place it somewhere. Other than that, everything is completely fine. Maybe it's cuz I played testing too many times but idk 🤷

3:19 i think it's really depends on peoples devices but as person who were playing this game on phone for years, after the overhaul update it was barely impossble for me to play (even in the lowest graphics + low graphics in game) it would just lag for me almost every second, and same for my friend who plays roblox on tablet, i think it's because there's A LOT of stuff they added in the game that just copletly lags the game entirely

Been playing evade since it was released and i gotta say that evade is literally a evolution of roblox. Its amazing! The graphics of the maps just blew me away! I quit evade for a couple of months, but im back now because of the update.

Btw, tysm for answering my question through a video :D They released private server menu :D B U T i dont think its as good as the old one 1st: they removed guns (my favourite private server feature) 2nd: they removed troopers (no more UEC defending 😢) 3rd: you cant force VIP only special rounds. (Im still waiting for interloper npc to get added) Although there are some advantages 1st: if you want to summon an ai(s) you dont have to wright it continuesly. 2nd: you dont need to rush in order to wright the special rounds, the ai, the viehicles etc. 3rd: you can force maps (finally) 4th: you can use chat to execute commands (even tho its slightly bugged with ai or veihchle) Im so sorry for my yap session and my dictation mistakes

the nextbots teleport (i think its an anticheat thing but it never actually catches cheaters cuz they use god mode) alot more often now too even if your not even in a hiding spot or anything just randomly sometimes watched a few more seconds and one of the bug fixes was "bots teleporting to you less" sometimes like 3 bots teleport to me as soon as the round starts

As someone who has played since 2022 and has a level above 104, I do believe the overhaul is a fresh breath of air. About time they changed the GUI and such tbh.
