You could use a cheap wireless trigger to use off camera also. I do this will budget manual flashes. What's the recycle time of this flash? Thanks for doing the video.

Thanks. On first power up, it took about 11 seconds to charge. Then about 4 seconds after each full power flash. This increases as the battery drains.

I bought this small flash after seeing your vid. I shoot with an Oly EM5 Mk iii. (I'm pre-OM Sys!). It certainly is a powerful little thing (I have to be sure it doesn't overpower the light in my shots). But you're right, as soon as I put a lens hood on my lens (I just tried with the 12-200mm lens) the flash from this unit casts a shadow into my scene. So I'll either forego a lens hood when using it or dip into my Ps skills to remove the cast shadow in post. Thx for the info on the flash. It's a size I can carry in my camera bag - vs my larger flash unit. 📸 p.s. Do you have a small wrap for it you can recommend. I use a standard purse as a camera bag, so don't have a lot of real-estate for bulk.

I repurpose my lens pouches for things like this. You could also wrap in a micro-fiber cloth like these: amzn.to/4fu0055

Hi Rob, The Godox system is a fine choice, but if you use the OM system camera and flash system, off flash capabilities are more flexible in my opinion. I have used both systems and my preference is the OM system flash system, but both are great choices! Regards Ton

Thanks, Ton. I use the Godox because I also do stage events sometimes where I need much more powerful strobes. Otherwise, the Olympus flashes are great.
