A burglar is surprised by David and Lisa Collins in their son's room. In the struggle, Lisa's eyes are hurt and David throws an ornament, unintentionally killing the young thief. It's not easy for Reverend Collins to deal with the resulting publicity, his own conscience, or Lisa's temporary blindness.

I watched classic movies as a hobby - actually essentially the only type of movies I do watch. It gives me a good sense of relaxation, maybe because it takes us back to the formative days of our modern life in a way. Being from the Middle East I allocate good portion of my watch time to the news, but these days even that is almost unbearably heavy with much hatred loaded on both sides. Such a movie is a good escape. Thank you!

@@serenity5755 I am not sure what you mean by my "your people "; are they my ethnic group (the Kurds), or the whole Middle Eastern peoples? I do not claim that I represent the former, but I am sure I do not do the latter. It is just not a right or realistic base for identity attribution. Probably the only thing peoples of the ME have distinguishly in common is sharing the same neighborhood. But adjacency might bring similarities and commonalities but also dispute... I understand wars polarize peoples, but I also believe few enjoy killing or violence. The sad thing is often the voice of the few is louder because they make louder cracks and noises and get wider platforms from external sources. I never think human beings are different from a place to another. The strains and pressures of certain circumstantial or temporary realities produce certain variations but not the essence remains the same.

It's a hard world outside with all the anger and hateful people, the hurt, the fear, the doubt. When one walks out of a loving environment into the darkness of hurt everyday people, the peace and love of church is such a contrast. We try for light and love in church, as we were taught in our study of faith. The darkness and evil, sometimes simple distrust and discomfort, is even more real than we can know, until we face it straight ahead. We pray for strength to overcome fear and disharmony. That is part of what church can help us understand.

Great movie that starts out with thrilling action & features a model, godly family raising their son in the ways of the Lord; a son who practices the power of prayer & honesty, although he disobeyed his parents in going to the abandoned ship. Such families are a rarity these days, sadly. I love the way the pastor was selfless & compassionate toward others & sensitive to their needs, while offering words of wisdom, despite his own personal situation. Thanks for the upload, Rob W. I collect and love old movies & had never seen or heard of this one before. Indeed, followers of Christ, if God be for us, who can be against us (56:32)? ROMANS 8:31 Hallelujah & amen!

People are always saying something negative on every film like this some of you are taking these films to seriously and imagine getting angry at fictional characters that theses people were told to portray and their attacking a fictional child character and calling him a brat like get it together. It's just a fictional movie but with a story to tell and stop complaining about how the movie didn't make sense it did and other people's opinions these movies were made a long time ago.

4:26 - the minister has a good aim with the snow globe ! ... Although I'm not murderous or religious, according to the bible (James 4:17), "Sin is missing the mark, the divine standard that God has set up". The minister portrayed here definitely did not miss the mark. Long live the minister and all like him - we must all stand up and protect our families from anything and anyone that threatens their welfare !

Another winner. Universal put out a number of these so called b movies that some were better their bigger budgeted stuff. George Nader's career never really recovered after Robot Monster although he made a tv series called Shannon.

'Nothing bad can happen to him - or to anyone of us - ever...' How ignorant and naive can one be? 😅 God does promise though, to be with us; whatever hardships and trials we might have to go through. In this world we are in fact to expect to face a lot of bad things happening to us. It helps to keep in mind; that whatever might happen; God makes all things work together - for the good - for those who love Him, and are called according to His purpose. When it comes to the boy: A disobedient young brat! 🤦🏼‍♀️ A product of too much kindness, and too little discipline? The reporters were so out of line: Stirring up drama and strife by setting up two families, two fathers and two sons against one another; shameful to say the least.

Poor George Nader. The characters in this film proceed with about as much logic as they do in Robot Monster! At least in that film the final denouement reveals it was the dream of a child.
