I had to listen to it a couple of times before commenting. When someone doers a cover version of such an iconic track, it takes a minute to unlearn the one you've known for 30 years so that you can judge the new version on its own merit and without prejudice. I like that its not a replica cover version, taking it in a different direction was very smart. Also smart was having Robyn do just the singing bits. Production is great. I think all the right decisions were made in regards to making this version. After listen number three I can say, for what it is, Im into it. And if Neneh aint mad at it, no one else should be either heehee

LOVE it!!! I must say though, I was secretly kinda hoping it would be a bit more banging, kind of like the original, but with a Robyn twist. Like with driving bass synths and stuff. I know it would probably have been too predictable though...I don't know, I just love the original so much and Robyn's vocal on this one is simply IMMACULATE and I think she could also have done an awesome straight-up cover of it, just more driving and bass-y...kinda Dancing On My Own style. But I love this, I really do. I hope someone does a banging remix of this new version, maybe that would satisfy my dancey needs :)))

I always LOVED the amazing pace/cadence & multi-sampling of the original '89 version of 'Buffalo Stance', back when I was only 15 y/o...I know that a $sit-ton of R&B/rap/hip-hop came along in the '90s & not only was almost all of it über-slow & for the most part, sounded the same to my ears but I had high hopes for this remake that has Robyn singing Neneh Cherry's sung vocals & was very disappointed with the outcome...no doubt that I'm a part of the minority but hey-ho, that's how it goes, I guess!!
