@@RobynCage I enjoyed the Eastern European sound flavors, the lyrical imagery ... and the tongue in cheek humor.. tragically serious but somehow slapstick ... my favorite song of yours that I have found so far, as I immerse myself in your catalogue of material....

I can't explain how deeply this comment moved me. You clearly listened intently and didn't just skim over it. This may be the most "me" of all my songs, and it's comments like this that make me feel seen as an artist, and also inspire me to do more of this "weirder" and less mainstream kind of music. Thank you, thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

Haha, I dropped the ball on this one! Okay... next time I'll have to add a verse in French!

Robyn Cage Thank you! ;) It was a very personal song. That's the fun part of being a musician-putting our naked souls out there for the world to see!

what genre does this qualify as and how can i find more like this, uumph
@RobynCage7 жыл бұрын
Hey Naomi- thanks, and good question! I think this falls into the Alternative genre, but is more like "alt-cabaret." My biggest influences when I was writing this song were Tom Waits & Amanda Palmer.

Robyn, I love your music and videos! I loved the mini-movie feel of this video; it reminded me of watching Cabaret or some other edgy musical. By the way: your vocal range is INCREDIBLE!!
@RobynCage9 жыл бұрын
Amy Arndt I love Cabaret! I actually toyed with the idea of having a Cabaret-style Emcee introduce the band, but then I figured the video is long enough as it is. Anyway, thank you so much!!
