For those of us who follow Robyn's work, this might be the motherlode.

I saw Robyn Hitchcock on a train once. Well, the Tube. He was wearing a spotty shirt, hiding behind a newspaper. My friend’s group were opening for him later that week, but I didn’t say anything. He was reading his paper.

I actually saw Robyn on a SW train just outside Basingstoke a few years back, when he came into my carriage. Couldn’t believe it! A blissful moment.

I've been a fan of Robyn's since the late 80s. I think 86 when I first heard Globe of Frogs. I've seen him multiple times live over those years. He is one of my top favorite and always entertaining with his quirky stories and equally quirky lyrics. He deserves more recognition than he gets.

Robin Hitchcock does a great job capturing the Mad Cap Laughs" era Syd Barrett sound. His voice sounds like Syd's as well.

but Robyn has produced many many more classics I'd say, unfortunately due to Syd Barrett's circumstances.

I was thinking the same exact thing! This came up on Spotify and I thought it was one of Syd's songs.

This is the first I've heard of him, I don't know how. I was born in 1956. How does he do this without being more famous, intentionally maybe, shows wisdom. Extremely talented artist.

Meeting him last summer was a real thrill, but after a few days of telling everyone I knew about it, I realized that he’s a god to anyone who listened to college radio in the eighties but fairly unknown to anyone else. Act least he’s well respected. Not many artists have the reputation that he deservedly does.

I'm waiting at Mortimer station - next train from platform 1 goes to Basingstoke, next train from platform 2 goes to Reading... So that's why I'm here! 😉

This & “…Lightbulb Head” vids on one of those late night mtv shows blew my teenage mind. A week later I found the Black Snake Diamond Röle record in the cut out bin at the mall. Not exaggerating, this was life-changing stuff. Thanks
