Isn’t this simply so so beautiful! My Nan had a musical jewellery box that played this tune. I used to ask her if I could wind it up to play it every time I saw her. I want to feel close to her this morning so I needed to hear this. Thank you so much. ❤

Brilliant! I emigrated to Scotland 14 years ago, because I fell in love with the Scottish landscape. The smell of the forest and the laich wind that rustles the leaves. And in Robyn's music I find that same ambience; that same magic.

My mom grew up in China in the early 20th century before the Chinese communist ruled China. She went to a prestige girls high school run by the Christian missionaries in Nanjing. My mom's complexion was fair and she had a round cute face, so her teacher gave her an English name, Daisy. She studied English and learned many songs in English. She taught me this song when I was a young child. I was fascinated by the song and learned to sing it. She passed away 23 years ago. When I hear this song, it reminds me of her. I miss you, Mom.

I love it! Is this song out there in Scottish Gaeilge?
@dalbhuie_youtubeaddedanumber3 жыл бұрын
Why would it be? It was written by Burns who spoke Scots, not Gaelic.
