In my former life of paper making I produced paper that I found too thick for my liking. I never thought of using Asian paper, now I do have some that I am not so keen on which I could use to reproduce. Great ideas, Robyn!

How do you recycle? I have paper trauma and am learning this to heal thru creativity. Ty.

I love the lesson in Papermaking. So different than how I did it so long ago. I think I'll try to use the papers I've held onto for so many years. My Junkadori will be a good place for them.

Yes, you are a great teacher Robyn. Thanks for putting all these wonderful videos together. I had to try making paper because you made it look achievable. Ugh, mine looked like I dug it out of the trash. I will try again and again however since you stated we shouldn't give up (I'm paraphrasing but I'm sure that's what you meant). Thanks again!

I've been thinking that it'd be awesome to make paper since I got a book about it in the library when I was probably 11years old. Long time ago BTW 😂 I have not yet tried to make paper but now that I see the steps and tips Robyn has so generously shared I think it may not be as complicated as I thought it was and can't wait to try!

Such an informative easy to understand video Robyn- TFS this method. I like to understand the rational to this home approach to papermaking. It's an art and that takes time to acquire. I like the thinness of these and don't particularly like thick ones, so I really learned a lot today. Have a great weekend!

Thank you Robyn! Can't wait for papermaking projects. Is the paper strong enough to gelli print, collage on, or use as master board? Or will it be best to use as pieces added to a project? ^-^

This video brought to mind two things you might like. August Strindberg wrote a beautifully strange book on Alchemy in the 19th century. It is a descent into madness. And Peace Paper is a travelling social justice/art project that takes clothes and turns them into paper using a bicycle as the churn.

I have a question about the pulp when you make it the paper into a pulp consistency. Is it supposed to be like pulp or like like really blended up where it looks really like smooth and kind of like a very soft creamy consistency because I was trying to make paper for the first time last night and it didn’t turn out well and my husband suggested well. You gotta keep blending it and he blended it and I think he blended it a little bit too much but I’m just trying to, find out thank you so much and your paper turned out amazing

Question about the interfacing. In your video you state the kind you're using is "non-fusible" but in your Amazon shop the product listed says "fusible". Does it matter? Thanks!

Will the paper ever get moldy; does one need to add a preservative?
@RobynMcClendon2 жыл бұрын
No once the paper is dry it won't mold. And as long you have the paper drying a ventilated place when it dry there really isn't anything in the pulp that will mold...Thx :)
