It’s good for podcasts to run like smooth conversations. But tbh, I really wanted to hear Roc talk a lot more. Eiht is an OG, but damn man please pick Roc’s brain more. This man has sampled some wild stuff, said some of the most unorthodox shit, and has several bars that have me wanting to ask him some deep and thought provoking questions. Work on the format a bit more fellas and dig deeper in the bag to ask better questions.

Interesting. Well, to be fair, fellas, the Internet is infested w/ bots. Speaking for myself, my channel has hella bot subscribers and there's nothing I can do about it. It just comes w/ the Internet. Back when KZbin first popped off, I remember when I'd post a comment expressing that I did not like such & such song and the quintessential bot comment would be "Nicki Minaj is real music. Go listen to Bieber." Every time I'd turn around, I'd get a comment like that. Several years ago, there was a really good documentary right here on KZbin following the days & lives of individuals paid to do damage control on behalf of such & such artists. That documentary had 800K views, but it was curiously scrubbed off of the Internet. I'm sure there's a reason to that. Nowadays, you see them lil' Brazilian bot comments like "You're doing amazing work! You are a star." _Cain't_ remember it verbatim, but that's basically the gist of it. But yeah man... These bots is outta control and it's hella difficult to tell who's who. Is this a real muthafucka or just a muthafuckin' bot? Not only do these bots inflate streams, but they also inflate egos because I be thinkin' like "Nah I know doggon well such & such artist ain't really got it all like that." 100 millions streams, but don't nobody in the real world know the music. It's rigged and controlled. DMX debut LP _It's Dark and Hell Is Hot_ sold roughly 200K out of the gate. Wasn't no rigged numbers, bots, nothin'. Folks went to that record store, bought the LP and the rest is history. Them days is over. Oh c'mon nah, Roc. You know doggon well that the East Coast wasn't really fuckin' w/ the West Coast all like that. And guess what? It's ok. It's perfectly fine because we all have our personal tastes and regional bias. I've come to realize that it's ok. It's the nastiness of the regional bias that I do not like. For example, it's ok to clown DJ Quik and say that don't nobody on the East Coast know his music, but I say that Jay-Z wasn't really played out here all like that, y'all get all pissy about it. Regional bias is ok and natural. Sh¡t, I have a lil' regional bias at times. Nobody trumps Ice Cube...NOBODY! Rakim, Big Daddy K... yeah, I understand all that, but Ice Cube is the end all be all for me. Straight like that.
